This video (and the text, which I'll add here later) is a continuation of the series in Revelation, and the first sermon in Revelation 6 (of which there are more to come).
This sermon has two parts:
The point of prophecy; and
the purpose of the Tribulation.

Hi, Benjamin. I appreciated all your hard work and several points you made, some of which I had not considered before. Chief among them was the nature of the four horses in Revelation 6, that they were not related to demonic purposes -- challenging a subliminal assumption I have held without sufficient thought. Somehow it makes them more comfortable to consider. Not less fearsome in any way, indeed maybe a little more so.
I had also wondered about the Zechariah colored horses being related to the Revelation horses...
Anyway, thank you sincerely.

Excellent. One question. Who are the country to the North and the country to the South? Does this have any relation to the king of the North and the king of the South? North is the Babylonian Empire, south is Egypt. I wouldn't say it's strictly related to the Kings of the North & South (that conflict comes later), but in all honesty, you never know. Scripture doesn't tell us how many times these horses have gone "to and fro throughout the earth"; it's quite possible that they've been involved in many conflicts, and we're just not informed. In fact, it's probably even likely. The real factor where it comes to Revelation is that their work seems to be unrestrained. In Zechariah, they're given a specific target and command. In Revelation, they seem to be "off the leash", so to speak. There's no restraint left in God's judgement. |

There will be more to come on the horses in my next sermon - though you've anticipated where I'm going with it, I think. We've had this conversation on here before, but I'll be outlining why I don't believe the rider on the white horse is Antichrist, among other things. |

I just read it. Bravo. Loved it. The part that really became more clear to me was Daniel 9:20-27. I have one question on that. Do you have any idea what that last part of verse 26 means? It says "And till the end of the war desolations are determined." Is this still referring to the time period when the temple was destroyed?

I'd suggest that this is the gist:
1) And 'till the end of the war...'
This is a reference to the entire period of the 70 sevens. The final phase of this 'war' is seen in Revelation, wherein the devil is cast out of heaven and wreaks havoc on the earth. You can see this reflected in the...
2) 'desolations' (which are determined).
These are twofold: the desecration of the temple at the hands of Antiochus Epiphanes (a forerunner and type of the Antichrist), and the desecration of the temple at the hands of Antichrist, which I talked about a little in the sermon. This ties in with the idea of the bowl judgments being 'poured out' on the desolate, which is a part of the ultimate consummation, in which Christ is revealed, crowned and reigning in Jerusalem (this too is the 'end of the war').

Loved it as always. The problem with the sound I'm afraid are my ears- I have pretty terrible hearing so I depend on the transcripts which are always so well written.
