Hey everyone, I figured I would get on here to say something, I wasn't sure if there was anything said on the site yet. I am in Ohio without my laptop so I wasn't able to get on earlier. I would be lying if I didn't say I am devastated, I know she would have immensely enjoyed seeing her grand children grow up, she was looking forward to recovery. I mostly cry for myself and my own loss though, because nothing on earth compares to the glories in Heaven. She was not only my Mom but also my best friend and confidante. The main purpose of my phone was for checking my email, because we would send so many emails to each other. The funeral is on Sunday, which will also by my first Mother's day. There is a huge wound in my heart now, and a massive void in my world, and I think the hardest part is yet to come, when I go back home and am not busy with anything to distract me. But while I miss her terribly, and lost her way too early, I am also happy for her, knowing that she was certainly right with God --- there is no question in my heart and mind where she is. Which helps a lot. Lovely to see you, Steph - thank you so much for posting. You're in good company here - and while none of us will feel your mom's departure as keenly as you do, we do all indeed share in that joy that we know exactly where she is - and in whose presence she now stands. I read through this whole thread again this morning, and... look at it. There are references to angel cake, soap, icecream, lasagna... we can't even keep a thread about our friend going home to be with the Lord on-topic! I think your mom would have liked it She was a huge part of what made this place wonderful... and we'll miss her until we see her again. Soon and very soon.

Yes Treasurebug, please feel free to come on here any time, if you need anything. Whether prayer, comfort, to share, talk, giggle or brag and share pics of the new little guy. We are always here for her. As well as for you dad or anyone else for that matter. We all have our love for your mom and Christ in common. Our love and heart felt prayers for you all. And Benjamin, of course we went off topic and went to food. Could NOT even dream of having a post about Shiloh w/o it!! It would just be wrong not to! I'm thinking that marriage supper of the Lamb is going to be ohhhh sooo goood with her there, in charge of the menu and recipes!! Can almost smell it now!

Stephanie: My heart breaks for you for the loss of your mom and confidant. I keep typing and erasing this post, knowing that mere words are not enough at this moment. We are going to help pray your way through today for you and your family and will continue to uphold you all in prayer.
Your mom would have been excited for today, hearing about your first mother's day. I hope you reserve sometime this day to realize how blessed you are to be a mom and have this day to honor you.

Hey Gr8tful, thanks for asking. It's been tough. The baby is going to a year old this month - can't believe it. Umm, I was under the impression he was going to be a baby forever and that only OTHER people's kids grow up... not mine! ha ha, just kidding. But seriously, he's experimenting with throwing things and that's a frightening prospect, although so hilarious to watch. And he does this little victory grunt afterward, like he really taught that stuffed animal a lesson. He's still practicing at when to let go, so sometimes said object goes flying behind him rather than forward. Oh Gosh, what a joy. I wish I could share these things with my Mom, she always loved to hear about him.

Good to hear from you Steph, the baby sounds so adorable. I know it's been tough for all of you, but by the looks of it and all that's happening in the world it won't be long before your all together. Would love for you to post some pictures of Colt if you get a chance, can't believe he's already a year old. Your still in our hearts we haven't forgotten you.... Take care and God bless you all.

Stephanie, that's so funny about the baby learning how to throw, and his little self satisfied little grunt. You are so lucky to have an almost 1 year old. They are so entertaining when their learning is going up so rapidly. Has Andy started walking yet? That will be soon on the agenda.
And your Mom would just be soaking all this up. She and your Dad would probably have driven up this summer to be there for the birthday celebration. Please keep checking in with us. I love hearing how you and Andy are doing.

TB, he's going to be a yr old already???!!! That's so hard to believe! Oh pls post pictures!! What a character he is! That's is too funny about his throwing and grunting. Reminds me of a baby Tim the Toolman Taylor' from home improvement show! I imagine he's got quite big by now. Baby stage doesn't last near long enough. We love hearing about him and getting pictures, so just think of us all as 'aunts in Christ' - we're family and love to hear about the little guys. How's your brother and his little one doing? thank you for updating us and sure hope you continue!
