From as long as I can remember I have always felt connected to The Lord. Not in an academic or scholarly way necessarily, but in a deep-out of your stomach-I have spoken to you in the dark of the night since when I was an infant- kind if way...maybe that doesn't count. Who knows. But I spent the greater of the past two decades talking to someone that I believed in without being able to truely reach Him- without Jesus Christ. It wasn't until a few years ago that jesus stood at the door and knocked personally to me. Me- the classic lascodean church goer- thinking she was rich when I was pitiful, blind and naked. Yet- there I was- confused, alone, lost...with a an overwhelming urge to write.....so I did. Nine months later I wrote a book (unpublished) entitled "allegory of man". This play- this poetic philosophical novel, this calling from The Lord- ended with me feeling an overwhelming need to seek the word of god. After i finished the book, I bought, for the first time- not one, not two- but 6 bibles. Study bibles, children's bibles for my kids, king James, niv, etc... I wanted to hear him in every way possible. I took a day off work, fasted and read- prayed, read the Word and heard the voice. And i have been captivated ever since. Its the voice that I hear in so many of your comments - the one one I heard as a child, and the one that was with me when I wrote that book. Jesus our Lord has so many faces- suffering servant to conquering king- yet he has always been the one I have seeked - all my life. He has given me so much- and I pray that I will use the gifts he has given me to glorify him to the end of my days!

Amen Chiara!! I love that! Funny but as I was reading I thought oh I HAVE to comment on her writing, she's a good writer and then I see you say you wrote a book!!! So I guess you already know that! I am so glad that you found us and have decided to be a part of us. You'll fit in just fine....the neat thing here is the Lord seems to have brought us all together and we all seem to have our part to play here. We're each a little different so that we all can minister, share, lead, guide or whatever it is to help others as well as one another w/o stepping on toes. Hope that makes sense!! WE're a team that works together nicely, in one accord, as we each have our own unique position here. Glad you are here and yes, He has blessed you with writing!!! Hope you take the as a comfirmation!

What a lovely testimony Chiara, I can feel your heartfelt love of the Lord.
But it does Chiara, because the Lord said it does in His Word:
Psalm 139:13-16New King James Version (NKJV) 13 For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.

Welcome, Chiara! What a beautiful testimony. I know what you mean because like you, ever since I was little I felt a connection to the Lord, also. I can't ever remember when I didn't want the Lord in my life, even long before I was saved. So I can relate to what you said. Perfect scripture, Morningstar. Looking forward to your posts.
