What do others believe the time frame of the beginning of sorrows is? Personally, since the audience was Jewish, I tend to believe it was directed to the Jews and may be included in Revelation. Even though we are seeing many of the things Jesus said would happen, I believe it will only get worse after we are gone. For example, look at these verses (Matthew 24:4), (2 Timothy 3:1,13), (2 Thessalonians 2:8-10)

Soon, in earnest. Birth pains that is. Officially after we are gone although we see so many signs now and have for some time.

Personally I believe the Birth Pangs started on May 14, 1948 when Israel became a nation (First fulfillment of Prophecy in Ezekiel 37)..that to me was when the time clock started up again after 2000 yrs. Since then earthquakes, volcanoes, extreme weather, lawlessness e.t.c. have increased exponentially...they (birth pangs) are building up and will have full reign during the Tribulation. Those are just my thoughts.

This is my thinking too - though I think there are two (equally valid) views on this. We know that the "last days" began when the Lord left this earth. Peter declared as much on Pentecost - and he wasn't wrong in that. He even used Joel 2 to reference what was occurring there, and that's quite clearly a passage that speaks of the Great Tribulation. In that sense, the "beginning of sorrows" was at that point - and the world began to unravel then and there. In perhaps a more meaningful sense, the real "ramping up" began, as Morningstar points out, in 1948. What this suggests to me (and what, I think, the language of the text suggests) is that we're looking at an exponential curve: ...so while the actual effects of the "beginning of sorrows" were minor in Peter's day, they're clearly marked now - and as you know, I believe we're at the far right end of that curve. I suspect that what we're seeing is even more dramatically steep than the one shown here, too - so we'd have a long, drawn out flat line and then an even more rapid curve - but you get the idea.

I've heard that view also, and it would make sense especially on how significant things started to ramp up starting in 1948..
This is a good video by Hal Lindsey to watch on the things that started to happen in 1948...very informative.
This is a 2-part series by Hal Lindsey where he discusses the impact that 1948 had on the world to this day. (57 minutes long) but well worth it.
