morningstar, thank you so much!! Well, knowing Dan is here, no doubt it can be looney! What a band of neat brothers and sisters all waiting for that upward call! Leeza and Shiloh were rays of sunshine, and are now shining with the Son! Won't it be an amazing eternity! More than we can imagine.
It may be doable to give Dan a big hug for you all; I will try my best being that he is 6' and I am only 5! I don't know if he would be willing to come down to my level or not, but for you guys, I know he will! (if I could only find the smilies...)

Kolleen, when you do "Quick Reply" smilies won't show, but if you click on "reply" button to the right of the box it'll take you to the format where you can click on the smiles, links, images e.t.c. I hope this helps...give it a try.

Welcome to the group Kolleen, and I think it's so cool that you will be meeting Dan tomorrow. I hope the two of you have a lovely time. You see the REPLY button on the upper right hand side of the comment reply box? If you click that button, it will take you to another screen you can comment on. This screen has more functions like bold, italics, underline, and there is a happy face. If you click on the happy face a menu of faces comes down to choose from. Then, when you are done your comment, click on the Create Post on the bottom Right hand side. I'm looking forward to your posts. edit to add: typing this the same time MS was posting - great minds think alike.

Okay, someone can correct me, but re the "smilies," I think they only show up around the perimeter of the box when you edit your own post. So after you submit, press the upper right edit button, and then insert appropriate smilies or other emojis as needed. Then resubmit the edit. Two things Kolleen: colon then parenthesis always work the first time for the standard smily without re-editing. RITA used to have a much richer set of emojis than RF, especially those animated ones. It's a small priced compromise to pay though for the richness of the fellowship here. By the way, the private messages have no capability to be edited. Misspellings become permanent mispelings, and careless words or unfortunately-worded thoughts are intractable in that post. You'll have to explain, apologize, or correct in a subsequent message post. Veterans here may be able to expand on what I have experienced... [edit -- Man, Liz, three posting at the same time! I'm sure glad you both (pre)corrected me. ] [further edit -- okay, I had not looked to find the last post which was atop page 3 in the thread series. Some sheep are oblivious I guess. ]

Ohhh, now this is more familiar! Thank you to you lovely ladies...and the woolley! This site is a learning experience, so different from what I know. I will check in as I'm able to this great fellowship of watchers. Hugs and blessings.

MS, perfect picture! So true! Kolleen, wish you well on your meet up and I'm happy to hear you too told him about the dictionary! (No Dan, we are not picking on you, we wouldn't change a thing about you, except maybe get you sheared a bit.) And I do hope you share. You might want to brush up on some good puns beforehand. Then again you already know that! That cracked me up that 3 of you answered around the same time. Like Elizabeth said, great minds.....what a helpful bunch.

...to clarify: Smileys show up in the 'reply' box, but not the quick reply box. You can, however, use the shortcuts that MAKE smileys anywhere, and they'll show up correctly once the post is created. So, I'm currently in the quick reply box. If I type : ) (only together, without the space), I'll get in the post. If you want to see them WHILE you're typing, you need to use the "reply" function instead of the quick reply box, and click on the smiley icon.

Thanks Benjamin. Nice to wake up to your smiling likeness, sir. [insert smilies here for assurance of friendly sincerity] All these years here and with perhaps only a few days to enjoy these new-found features... [find emoji best depicting slap of forehead] [?] Maybe I should throw up a few posts here while I still can so I might enjoy this new emotion-confirming tool bag more. (Feeling kind of sheepish about being THIS OLD, being here THIS LONG, and only now learning how to SPRUCE things UP ...) [EDIT -- can anyone tell without an emoji that I'm still feeling really really giddy? (maybe just insert an interrogatory sentence to that effect...) ]

Yes I did notice you are still giddy/goofy! Is it because you get to use the emoticons now?! lol Took me forever to figure out how to post a video or picture correctly. Takes time to learn new things!

Gr8tful, Dan and I had brunch and chatted from 11 to 2:30. And he was sheared - I actually think the longer wooley suits him more. He is so easy to talk with, and do you know, he even spoke English!! I did not need a dictionary at all!! He is so ready to go that I almost had to hold him down! But aren't we all!! You can talk about anything and everything with him, and it all centered around our love for the Lord. (He even sang a tiny portion of gospel music!) It was a joy to meet him and see the person behind the post. (the posting...) One day we will all be eternally fellowshipping together, and for that I can't wait.

Kolleen was well worth waiting to meet, even though I suggested she and I and Boulder95 get together a year and a half ago. It is a true blessing to frequently have an instant affinity toward fellow believers. What a precious sister in Christ, and what a heart for Him. It really beat communicating via keyboard and smileys... Sheep have trouble with both. We would have talked on a bit more, but since that restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, we left at closing. The staff seemed shocked that some customers were still there. It was really fun to experience a pretty face along with the character of the lovely person inside.

I'm "G"rateful I couldn't find the smilies Dan so that you can now have this new-found fun! By this 'play on words', yep you really did hang out with Dan. Wow, didn't even need a dictionary, I'm impressed!! I think it's so neat you 2 got a chance to visit. I had wondered if you had to put some sand bags on him to keep him from floating away. One day we'll look up and see a big, woolly sheep floating like a hot air balloon! I am sure you 2 had a great time sharing, fellowshipping, just chatting away. What a blessed day!!! Like a teeny tiny sneak peek of what it will be like one day! Did you spot each other right away? Ok, Kolleen no doubt you spotted him, but did he spot you? Thanks for sharing about it, I have no doubt it was a great time! And thanks Dan also for sharing. I imagine it was good for you to visit w/a fellow watcher and sister in Christ. Glad you sheared a bit for it. Don't want to go all shaggy! lol Can't wait to meet you all someday!!!!

Kolleen, I love your avatar.
Kolleen and Dan, I think it is so great that you got to meet each other, and had a wonderful time. That is just too cool. I can hardly wait til we all get to meet each other - now I know that Dan you think that will be happening in a matter of days, but whenever that happens, it will be great.

Okay HH, tell me about this video. Did you make it? Is it a song you did, are you the lead singer? Etc....inquiring minds want to know! (Since your name is on it..is that your 'logo'?) Yeah Teri, you should go to HumbleHorse's YouTube channel and enjoy both his songs and the unfailingly pithy / meaningful lyrics. He's a talented guy! Too bad HH has predicted the Rapture so far out. Who here can actually wait another year? Not this woolley! But as they say, (actually always beat us up with), "No man knows the day or the hour!!!!" On the other hand, I have really been forced to pound sand in the past as my expectations were emotionally steam-rollered! (Showing my age -- "steam-roller" indeed!! What's that?)

Gr8tful and Elizabeth, yes, meeting with fellow watchers is as a taste of what Heaven will be like! I doubt we'll have "Starbucks" there, but morning porch and fireside chats would be so great! It's amazing to ponder what is in store for us there. I had shown Dan my high school photo but nothing current so that he would have to work at guessing who I was! But the truth is, I told him what I was driving, so as soon as I parked he was walking that way. (Actually I was quite surprised he could spot me with so much wool over his eyes) Oh and I forgot to mention, I gave him that hug for you all, so, consider yourselves hugged by back by The Big Bad Wool! (Elizabeth, thank you on the avatar. I've used it in the past and still love it too! Where I/we all want to be!) (I think it sorta looks like me too - haha, kidding hugely)

Sounds like you both had a fun brunch, that is so neat to meet an online friend and you didn't have to wait for the Rapture (like the rest of us will have to do)..and thanks Kolleen for giving Dan that hug from us all, one of these days Dan will be right on the timing, hoping it is in a few days, I think most of us are just hanging by our spiritual fingers just waiting to go. BTW,I also love your heavenly avatar, it's beautiful.

So true Kolleen it is amazing to ponder what it will be like!! Too funny about Dan eye spying you and went straight to you. Altho it would be funnier if it didn't turn out to be you but someone else. And I too meant in my last post to say how I love your avatar!!! Very nice! And thanks for hugging him for us. Bet you had to use a lint brush after that w/wool sticking to you. Well maybe not, he probably had his 'do' done beforehand. Busy day but wanted to pop on for a sec. Should be back in a bit!

...Bet you had to use a lint brush after that w/wool sticking to you. Well maybe not, he probably had his 'do' done beforehand. Two things, Teri: First, despite what you may imagine, I'm at present not molting; and second, Kolleen and I were both appropriately coiffed. She did comment within about 45 seconds from meeting her that my beard was neater / better trimmed / than is shown on Dan WhiteStone's new Facebook photo. Back then when the photo was taken I did not have a shaver with a No.2 trim attachment. And my most recent haircut was only about a week ago. The reasoning ( this is weird!) behind my wanting a recent hair trim was so that my Bride, my Mother, and my Mother-in-Law, all of whom I expect to see this week, have a good first impression after all these years.

I am sure you looked very dashing for your meet up. Kolleen said you were sheared and I was glad to hear that. I hope we don't have to have hair cuts and such once we get to Heaven!! I was thinking more like a comfy shirt and sweats! I don't want to worry about my hair after I leave here, having to dye it, have it cut and flat ironing it! I believe we'll have perfect hair! And your beard will be just right, so don't worry, mom won't get on you about that.

That's what I was wondering, if he did the entire thing? Very talented man! Thanks for your kind words Gr8ful, yes I do the whole thing!! I write the songs, play and sing them, master them and then make the video... using the talents that the King gave me for the King and His glory!! I'm currently recording a few new tunes and will be making videos in the coming weeks if we're not raptured outta here on Pentecost as many are suggesting!! But I still think we have until June 2018 before we're harpazoed... But I'm equally happy to be taken by surprise!!

I spend a lot of time driving for my job so have used that time to listen to songs that point to the soon coming departure from here for our much-desired arrival over yonder. My playlist includes songs from FFH, 33 Miles, Phil Wickham, and many more. How about lyrics like this for encouragement, brothers and sisters?
"I'm living in the days ahead, I'm already dancing on the streets of gold, Can't stop celebrating in my soul I'm living in the days ahead, nothing on earth could ever compare, can't wait for the day that I get there When I see Jesus face to face...what could be better?" 33 miles What Could Be Better
I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait! So many dearly loved and missed people to see, so many more to meet....and eternity with the King! We are going home!
