I saw the Scripture thread but wanted to know if we could also have a section for prayer requests so as a Body of believers we are aware of and actively involved in lifting one another up in agreement in prayer. I know there are days when I greatly long for others to be praying for me, even as I remain committed to pray for others. I think it delights our Father to see His kids, big and little, supporting one another in this way.

Hi Soon! You can start one just like you did this or are you talking pinning it? BTW you shouldn't be getting the hold on your posts soon.
Is there a prayer request you have?

Thanks Gr8ful for your response. I think pinning it would be great so we can check in to see each day to see who is requesting the powerful support of prayer.
And as a matter of fact, I do have a request! It may be one many of us are feeling these days:
It was a hard, hard day of difficulty on the job, feeling so incredibly tired physically and emotionally, and feeling so much like going home. By nature, I am an optimistic cheerleader, but more and more often lately, life here seems so much harder. I long to be held gently in prayer even as I hold each of you.
Beammeup, I 1000% agree that prayer is powerful!

I could have been the one who wrote your post Soon. No kidding, you nailed exactly how it's been going for me too! Like you even being typically optimistic it's strange for me to be this way. I was just my dil today when she was saying she's depressed, that I noticed in the Christian community that seems to be more the case now than ever. The battle is fierce and I believe we 'feel' it. Some days are just soooo heavy! So I hear ya. Glad to pray for you!
With that said:
Our Father, we come before You and pray for Your blessed Hand to be upon each and everyone of us. May You Lord, our Rock and fortress, cover us under the shadow of Your wing. Lord, You are mighty, You are perfect, You are just. In You we put our trust, our hope and our lives into Your most faithful and Holy care. The battle(s) are fierce, the distractions many, the oppression so very heavy that on our own, we couldn't hold up under it. But to You oh God, it is but a little thing. May You lift the oppression that weighs us down and remove it Oh Lord, as far as the east is from the west. In its place may Your love fill us anew. Precious Holy Spirit, may we be one with You and use us as instruments to Your unfailing love and share the gospel with all who we meet through out our days.
We long for Your return! But as long as we are, let us, enable us to reach out to all who seek You. We are here, for a purpose and a reason, we are here for a time such as these. Therefore, may Christ be who we reflect and His steps be our steps. Help us through these difficult times and may Your name be glorified!!! In Your most Holy Name we pray, Amen!

As far as east is from west! Oh I pray in agreement with you Gr8ful! As another day begins, amen and amen. In Jesus' mighty name, the name in whom we place all out hope.

Sending prayers soon. It is good to know specifically when what I call targeted prayer is needed. Most of us hear do pray daily for all on this forum. So be assured that we will be upholding you and your family in prayer daily.
I too feel this heaviness that many Christians seem to have lately. Let's face it, this world is getting uglier by the day and the best part of the day is when we spend time with God. We have one foot here and one foot in heaven.

Lord, Your name is Wonderful!! Mighty God, Deliverer, Redeemer, Friend. You are all things, You are everything, You are ALL we need. Oh God, we take a moment just to worship You and proclaim Your greatness! I don't know how we get so worn down and beat up in this life, when You provide all that we need to live. Though we get down, at times in the pits, You come and lift us up and raise us up again. You are such a loving Father!! Thank You for keeping such good care of us even when we don't recognize it. It's because of You we are able to take another step. You are our joy.
Father, this prayer is for all my brothers and sisters in Christ here, as well as all over. WE cannot see what You can, You see how dark the darkness is around us, therefore, shine Your light in those areas. You see the battles that rage against us, therefore Lord, call Your mighty angels to come, surround, guard and protect all who are are with out a shield. Deliver us from the snares that are set to trap us, may we be given wisdom and discernment to see what we need to see. May Your Holy Spirit fill our hearts, lives and be one w/our spirit, so we have the strength to stand.
Each one of us has many needs in so many areas of our lives that we become overwhelmed. We humbly hand them over to You. Show us how to handle, what to do and when to do each and every one and not look at it as all one big mountain. You know our hearts, as well as our weaknesses. Forgive us where we need forgiveness. For all those in our families who don't know You, oh Abba, work on their hearts today!!! Bring people to them to share the gospel if they won't listen to us. We pray for our children and grandchildren that they all live their lives pleasing to You! WE love You are forever grateful for salvation. We don't deserve it, and yet You provided it. How great You are!!! With a heart full of love and amazement we pray in Your Name....AMEN

Thank you all for your contributions. I will be praying for you.
I am not planning to lodge a (further) prayer request, fully appreciating that lots of you are currently lifting up my current sorrow about my daughter Stephanie's situation, with great gratitude and a bit of mild encouragement. Zoomed way out though in perspective, I will risk offering general overall thanksgiving for my very lengthy life's blessed run of victory and joy. Praise be to His Holy Name!!
The "risk" here is feeling a contrast with my brothers' and sisters' in Christ's burdens today contrasted with my own delight with God's work and the freedom I feel today. The risk is that many of you with pain might feel even worse. I only want to express gratitude to Jesus, not rake any wounds.
I specifically want to mention a really recent (two days now) sense of deliverance from my long and dogged feeling that this world sucks, and that I really have to complete our uncertain lengthy "sentence" down here sadly taking the lumps. Every successive hope where Jesus will set us free on (a certain defensible Rapture date) has on the whole been discouraging. Frequent crashes and burns the norm.
But there was a miracle that I have shared with a couple of you here that perhaps for the first time in years I am delivered! Giddy! Eeyore has wandered off, and I'm expecting to never see him (be him) again!
So as I say, PRAISE BE TO HIS HOLY NAME!! Thank you, Lord!!!!

You know, praising the Lord and expressing gratitude is just as needed and important as prayer requests are. And so glad you are delivered and are spreading the message, filled with thankfulness! As we all know, a good way to keep that flow of praise and worship going and spreading is to do it in ALL circumstances. And there lies the challenge! Praising in the midst of chaos. The reward is knowing the enemy just despises such praises. Sure can't feel defeated w/a heart full of praise. Gee Dan, actually thanks for reminding of this truth! What an awesome God we serve!!!!

Dear Lord, there are so many things that beset us, each one, myself included. As we listen to this, and listen again and again when needed, we lift up to you all these things from small to great, for ourselves, for each other, for friends, family and the Church family to be set free in Your love that is sufficient to bring us out of our circumstances and in to Your truth, and where the enemy is put under our feet. Thank You Lord that you hear, and are faithful to move on our behalf as we seek You and give you praise.

Well, some jerk of a demon I guess heard how joyful I have been, and so decided to try to take a steel pipe to my peace this morning. Let's suffice it to say that my precious daughter dropped further toward a legendary rock bottom where denial no longer is available.
My homeless Stephanie is now incarcerated on misdemeanor charges, and may spend perhaps several weeks there. Dad has decided not to bail her out. At least there she has shelter, access to health assets, food, and clothing. Ideally as she looks for things to read she'll again find a Bible...
She did allow when we were talking today that her ongoing really poor life choices this year have precipitated what she seems to finally regret. Profound damage! She was crying pretty hard when we talked about the fact that her three children really love her. She knows she has let them down. (It did not escape my sense of possibility, or even likelihood, that God has planted her there now for several reasons. I can hope. That would be consistent with a sovereign God who cares.)
I assured Stephanie that there is a cadre of prayer warriors lifting her up before the Lord. Sincerely thank you who have been! Please ask God to protect her and to clear her mind of false imagination, and to not let her squirm around avoiding truth, resisting help, to grant her bodily healing, (there is a staph infection festering on her arm), and restoral to her greater but deserted family.
Or that He may initiate the Rapture any moment now! Yesss!!

Love that song, thanks for posting it.
Lord thank You that You are covering Stephanie in a way that You know is best. We are so grateful that You are hearing our prayers and answering our pleas. Oh we praise You Lord and lift up our hearts before You, for they are Yours Lord. Our hearts belong to You!
Lord, as we entrust Stephanie to You, we also lift our kids, family and friends who do not know You and those who know You but have lived their own lives. Deliver them from that which binds them and draws them away from You. May Your perfect work be done in each and every one of them. We pray this is the Precious name of Jesus...AMEN
Dan, thank you for the update. I am glad to hear she is safe and that she is not able to deny things any longer. So hard to go through, I know. It breaks your heart, esp when tough love is needed. Hang in there Dad.

Dan - thanks for sharing that with us. I'll be praying for Stephanie. That's an horrific scenario to be in, and I can't imagine how hard it's been for both you and her. I'm sure plenty of us here can talk about how God has used times where we hit rock bottom in our own lives, into moments of opportunity for Him. It's my prayer that Stephanie will reach out to Him in her regret.
"Godly sorrow leads to repentance and leaves no regret" (2 Cor. 7:10).
May this be true of Stephanie, and may she find The Light, Christ Jesus, during her darkest hour.

Dan, praying for Stephanie. Sometimes people have to hit rock bottom because that is the only place that brings them to their knees. Very hard for a parent to let happen. But glad she is off the street and safe. As some of the homeless will tell you here, the street is no place for a women. It is brutal out there. We see people weekly with knife cuts and all beat up. It seems the strongest rule and run over the others. Glad you can sleep knowing she is safe and hopefully getting the help she needs. Praying for all of you. Hugs.

Thank you Teri, Benjamin, Chrissy and BMU for holding Stephanie up before the Lord. And I thank so many others in this online family who I know are praying for Stephanie, and even for a certain sheep who will remain nameless. And I thank lurkers too, our brothers and sisters in Christ, for prayers not mentioned but certainly heard by our Lord. Funny how God uses all kinds of means and situations to build His to-be-glorified family, isn't it? Praise be to His Holy Name!!

Dan you hit on something that I'd like to mention. RE: how God uses all kinds of means..... To you lurkers, who come on here, tho not sign in but yet feel a part of us nonetheless. Thank you!! Thank you for coming here, being a part of us in a silent way, and for the prayers you pray for us, even tho we don't it. We feel them. We really do! Thank you so much and we hope some day you decide to join in so we can get to know you and maybe be able to help you through any thing you may be dealing with. Kippy reminded me of how many lurkers there are. We all were at one time, so totally understand. Took me a LONG time to finally sign up, and again, this is the only place I have ever joined. Never thought I would join even one! Glad I did. I may not have a lot to share like I feel the others do, I now feel it's a way to minister to people I would never have the chance to. I firmly believe the body of Christ needs encouragement and this gives me a way to do that. With that, again thank you and do hope you will consider coming on soon. All I know is, I knew the Lord was nudging me to do so for so long and finally realized obedience is better than ignoring. So if the Lord is nudging you, pray about it and do as you feel led to do. If you don't feel led, just feel you need to be a silent part, pray about that also. We encourage you in His leading. Please, if He is having you 'silent' here, obey that. We are so grateful to have you in whichever He chooses. I think of it as there are some at churches who are members, then there are others who go, are involved but have not become a member of that church. I get that. Like here, you can be a part of the site to a point. But to be allowed on the 'private' side, or the members only stuff, you have to be a member before that can happen. The private side is great feature to have. We are able to share the private stuff that we don't feel comfortable sharing on the main board, with whomever we chose to share it with. That's where our deeper friendships, fellowship are built. For people like me, who are cautious about people and careful with trust, it means a lot to have that option.

Dearest Yeshua,
Let it be a great day for Stephanie. Please remove the blinders from her eyes. Help her return to You and submit to Your leading again. Please keep her safe and turn her life back around for good. Repentance Lord. Strength for Dan as well. May they see You working and trust Your timing for all things. Encourage them Lord. Love them through. Thank You. Amen

Oh spreadingsalt, that touches me deeply that you have lifted up my daughter and me once again in prayer. Thank you. Bless you!
In thirty years I may have never sensed Stephanie so ready to be healed, yet the down side is how hopeless she feels about actually being able to climb out of the hole she finds herself in. An extra special dose of God's grace and mercy, plus intervention by the Lord in the legal proceedings and then her ability to somehow return to large family in Colorado here would be appreciated.
Thank you again, dear sister in Christ.

Chrissy, that warms my heart too. Your and your family's faithfulness. Thank you, Lord, for brothers and sisters in Christ.
I am personally still so all-in for "SOON" that I'm honestly giddy still. A very real emotional deliverance for me. And quite honestly my only (reasonable) expectation for relief and restoration for my daughter. She may not sense it as I do but I expect she may well appreciate all the more what the Lord will have done for her after we go.
