Shiloh, Pete Garcia of Omega Letter, is one of my favorites. Good Sound doctrine in Eschatology. He pretty much sums it all up.

That article raises an interesting question - what is "The day of the Lord"? I've always assumed it to be a reference to the entire Tribulation. Recently though, I watched a series of videos by Doug Hamp, on The Second Coming, The Millennium and The Final Rebellion. Hamp argues that "The Day of the Lord" is just that - a single day - and argues that there is no reason to take it any other way. He also argues that Joshua's "long day" gives us a pretext for such an event.
It's an interesting idea. I'm still not sure if I agree with it, and haven't put the time in to find out for myself yet, but there you have it.

I don't agree with some of Doug Hemps views in Eschatology..But if you want a good definition of the "Day of the Lord" this one is by Chuck Missler. I believe it is referring to the tribulation period, and some theologians also teach that it includes the millennium, but some believe it is only meant for the tribulation, so there are two views on this as far as the length of time goes.
Day of the Lord
This is the traditional Jewish expression for the day when God would intervene in history to destroy His enemies and establish His Kingdom. In that Day, Christ will rule with a rod of iron over the entire earth and will administer absolute justice.
