Ultra-Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem Protest Pope’s Mass
Mark 13:13 “You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.” A group of ultra-Orthodox Jews are protesting outside of the Last Supper near Jerusalem because of plans by Pope Francis to hold a mass at the site next week. The Jews claim that allowing Christians to worship where Jesus held his last meal with his disciples is a violation of their beliefs. “Under Jewish law it is a big problem,” Rabbi Avraham Goldstein told NBC News. “Basically they are taking over the place.” Protests are also taking place because the Pope is simply planning to visit the site. “When ‘the crusaders’ come here making the sign of the cross and all kinds of rituals, this place will become idolatrous for us,” protester Yitzhak Batzon told AFP news agency. “We will not have the right to pray there anymore.” The head of the Catholic Church in Israel said he is concerned about security, especially following a rash of vandalism with anti-Christian and racist statements at various Cathedrals. jimbakkershow.com/news/ultra-orthodox-jews-protest-popes-mass-jerusalem/

We see the difference between Catholic issues and Christian issues, but the Jews perhaps do not.
I wonder how much of this is the result of the Vatican's desire for possesion or control of the Temple Mount.

Well, while I particularly don't endorse Catholic masses anymore, this still ends up implicating Christians. It's more about the Christian faith and Jewish faith than it is about Catholicism in particular. Those Jews probably just don't want anyone other than Jews there.

There are so many articles about his coming without doing a mass. I personally do not think he should hold a mass. This is not his country and he should abide by the rules of the country he is in for things such as this.
