Seems to me that all is falling into place at the EU....What a set up this will be for the Anti-Christ to utilize in his Role of Dictator. Prophecy unfolding before our very eyes.

Opinion: The revived Roman Empire spoken of by the prophet Daniel is fitting nicely into today’s European Union; complete with progressive liberalism, socialism, anti-Semitism, and a secular world view.
Daniel 9:26 “… And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary …” The prince who is to come is the final Antichrist. The people of the prince who destroyed the temple in Jerusalem is the Roman Empire.
The Roman General Titus, under orders from Nero, began the siege of Jerusalem that led to the destruction of the Temple a few years later. This fulfilled the prophecy of Jesus that not one stone of the temple would be left on another, Matthew 24:2.
Daniel tells us to expect the final Antichrist to emerge from somewhere inside the two legs of the ancient empire - Rome and Constantinople.
In our book Antichrist: The Search For Amalek, I speculate that the final dictator emerges from the eastern leg of the Empire.
The area of what is now Ukraine was known as the Scythian Empire (7th-4th centuries BC).
What is curious about the Scythians (descendants of Esau) is that they were the first to domesticate the horse and were known as fierce horse-riding warriors.
The symbolism of the 4 horsemen of Revelation 6:1-8 that kicks off the Tribulation period, may be our clue.
