...your first day in heaven. You enter, you take it all in, and at some point, Jesus says to you, "now that you've had a chance to get used to the place, you must have a lot of questions. You can have three." (obviously this would never happen - why only three? He's never in a rush ) ...what are your 3 questions?

Off the top of my head, I would ask as follows:
1. Would he spend the next evening with me so that we can talk in depth. 2. Where is my child I miscarried. 3. Where are my family members.

1 - What would you like me to do for you first, my Lord? 2 - Where and when will we be starting orientation classes? Sure seem to be a lot of deer in the headlights around here... 3 - In what distinct ways is our love for each other going to be different from what it had recently become on earth; both for me and also for You?
Rieom, my wife and I believe we probably have two or maybe three children waiting for us, family whom we've never met -- miscarriages like yours. Thanks for the expression of that thought. Absolutely fascinating to consider!

That is tough. If I only get three questions I will have to ask the angels the basic things like how to fly, where do we eat, where is my mansion.
I have to save my three questions for only the things He can answer. I really want to know when he was on earth how and when did he know that He was the Son of God. I think when He was a baby he was a baby like us. Learning to talk and walk and at some age it was revealed to Him. I could be wrong. But this is my first question.
My second question is why does He love us so much. I think I would ask this just because I cannot even imagine standing in front of Jesus and having him tell me why He loves me so.
The third question would be: Why did you let Benjamin change me into a pink dolphin?

I'm assuming the angels have covered the basics, like where do I live, where do I worship, how do I not get lost etc. As for the 3 questions I would ask the Lord, one of my questions would be, why did we have to go through the whole living on earth experience. If the Lord predestined us from before the foundation of the world, why didn't He just have us living in heaven all along. I know we learned stuff, but couldn't we have 'learned exeriences' in other ways that were not quite so painful to go through. I'll post my other two questions when I come up with them.

i've thought a lot about this throughout the past 33 years. however, i don't think we will even be thinking about asking questions. we will all be on the floor, worshiping our King. all i want, all i dream about, is seeing my Lord face to face. in fact, Jesus will probably answer any questions we might have before we even have a chance to ask them.
i think that heaven is so impossible for us to comprehend that the only thing that matter to me is that Jesus will be there. ......and i can't wait to meet Jesus!

2. Where is my child I miscarried. There is absolutely no question in my mind that neither you, nor any other woman who has ever lost a child, will have to ask that question.

StillGuessing: Someone had pointed out that our babies will now be grown up. I tend to think of him/her as a baby but they will be, in my case an adult. Beautiful thought Benjamin, we will not have to ask where our child is. Peaceinthestorm: Love your pink dolphin!

I agree wholeheartedly. The entire thread is really more about "what do we really want to know NOW?", as opposed to what we'll want to know in heaven. I suspect that a lot of things that are important to us now will seem utterly insignificant once we arrive there - and likewise I think there will be a lot of things that we have never understood in this mortal coil that we'll inherently realize in our new spiritual bodies. The more I study Scripture, the more I get the impression that everything we know is limited by the dimensions in which we exist. Even a concept as fundamental as the Trinity is entirely incomprehensible to us now - but "when we see Him, we shall be made like Him, for we shall see Him as He is".

I was about to quote the same thing Benjamin did by Jasperdale. I wholeheartedly agree. I'll be too in awe and on my face, worshiping our Lord to even think about whatever questions I had. I also believe He will answer theem before anyone even asks. We will just know and we will see the 'big picture'. EPD, that's funny about your question about the pink dolphin...

Jasperdale, What you wrote is a lot like this song. It is a Hymn by Nuttie Dudley, 1923.
I dreamed of a city called Glory It was so bright and so fair As I entered that gate, I cried holy All the angels met me there And They carried me from mansion to mansion And all The sights I saw I said I want to see Jesus He's the One who died for all
I bowed on my knees and cried Holy, holy, holy I clapped my hands and sang Glory, Glory to the Son of God Glory to the Son of God
When I entered the gates of the city My Loved ones all knew me well They took me down the streets of heaven All the saints were too many to tell I saw Abraham, Jacob and Isaac Talked with Mark, sat down with Timothy But then I said, I want to see Jesus He's the One who died for me
I bowed on my knees and cried Holy, holy, holy I clapped my hands and sang Glory, glory, glory I clapped my hands and sang Glory I clapped my hands and sang Glory I clapped my hands and sang Glory Glory to the Son of God Glory to the Son of God
I dreamed I thought when I saw my Savior, oh, glory to, to God! I just fell right down before Him singing praise the name of the Lord. I bowed down and worshipped Jehovah my friend of Calvary for I wanted to give praise to Jesus for saving a sinner like me.
I bowed on my knees and cried Holy, holy, holy I clapped my hands and sang Glory, glory, glory I clapped my hands and sang Glory I clapped my hands and sang Glory I clapped my hands and sang Glory Glory to the Son of God Glory to the Son of God

Three more questions -- it's the second day...
4 - We were known as human beings, and it seems now we're not. What do most types of other beings call us? 5 - Is there a need for a hierarchy, even of responsibilities and trust among other beings for example? 6 - Will I, as of my Rapture transformation, now be incapable of disappointing you, Lord? I hope so.

StillGuessing: "Will I, as of my Rapture transformation, now be incapable of disappointing you, Lord? I hope so,
I have often thought about this and I believe we will not be able to disappoint Him anymore.

Benjamin, thanks for posting the song. It is beautiful.
StillGuessing, I agree with rieom. There are no tears in heaven and disappointing Christ would make us cry. So I get your point about being called human. The word "human" has the connotation of failure as in the phrase "I am only human". So what should our new collective name be?

It has not yet been made known what we shall be, but we know that when He shall appear we shall be like Him!
All I can say and imagine, Rieom and PeaceInTheStorm, is OH WOW!!!
"When He shall appear" could be just a few days off..., this millennia-old longing of the saints..

All I can think of is that we are the bride of Christ and we will recieve a new name that no one else knows accept the Lord and that person. Interesting question.
