Earlier today I read an article, which stated that Kerry had talked to Abbas and that the US will take no action on this signing of the pact. Which means they will still pay terrorists with our tax dollars. Kerry did mention that they would take a wait and see attitude and judge them on their behavior. So anything that happened up to this point is time is being ignored. How do you like them apples? I cannot say I am surprised at this, it is what we all thought would happened.
In addition, with many of their top ranking killers released from G. Bay, without notifying Congress I might add, they are in a better position now to sow their seeds of hate with violent action. For Christians, this could turn into a war we have been watching for.

Well, Rieom, you said Kerry did mention that they would take a wait and see attitude and judge them on their behavior. Right? Well, that worked pretty well for Iran, right? No? You mean...? Uh oh! :-)
All this spin makes one dizzy!

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.”
The One enthroned in heaven laughs.
- Psalm 2:1-4

Oh, I agree and I believe Psalm 83 is right on everyones heels. "The One enthroned in heaven laughs." is a very fearful thought, indeed.

I love Psalm 2. I've always been a very visual person - when I read, I see whatever is described in my head. Psalm 2, I can see. I see grumpy, hunched over Muslims conspiring to bring down Israel and her Anointed One... ...and God doing this: I realise that seems a little irreverent, but seriously - God, who sits enthroned in heaven, laughs? "Seriously? Come on, guys. What do you think you can POSSIBLY accomplish?"

I am just glad that we are on the side of the One who laughs because we know that it does not end well for the other side. There is only one way to be on the right side. It isn't by being a good person because we could never be good enough. The one and only way is through Jesus Christ.
I liked the verse. To me it says that nothing, absolutely nothing is to big for God to handle.
With that thought in my head, I think I will sleep peacefully tonight.

I've often wondered what various or most rabbis think about the imperative to "...kiss the Son lest He be angry and you perish in the way..." (It's part of the last verse of that Psalm.)

I've often wondered what various or most rabbis think about the imperative to "...kiss the Son lest He be angry and you perish in the way..." (It's part of the last verse of that Psalm.) They don't. They translate it as: "Arm yourselves with purity lest He become angry and you perish in the way, for in a moment His wrath will be kindled; the praises of all who take refuge in Him." the word translated 'son' is the Hebrew 'Bar', which you'd know from Scripture (Simon Bar Jonah, Barabbas, Bar Kochba, etc. etc.) - and always means "son". They consciously leave it out.

It IS so comforting to know that the Lord has everything in His control, isn't it, EPD? Whenever I start to panic or worry in the slightest, the verse, "Be still and know that I am God." always comes to mind and immediately removes any fears.
I remember reading something awhile back from someone who was being trained to be a Rabbi and he became a Christian. He said, they weren't permitted to read a certain book. If my memory serves me correctly, I think he said it was Isaiah. Don't hold me to that book though. It's been awhile since I read that. Apparenly, it was because of Isaiah 53. Now, if somebody told me I wasn't permitted to read it, I would want to read it all the more and would. How can someone read that and not see it is Jesus being spoken of? Although, I realize for now, they are blinded in part.

I would definitely read it too Shiloh. They must have either incredible control or no interest in reading it

Sometimes I feel like a rebel Stillguessing. Is "Unemployed Sea Connery Impersonator" a present from Benjamin?
