I just heard of this from a fellow Christian that she had read we would be able to leave a message for those left behind via a text message. This message would go out if we do not check it in a set period of time. Does anyone know how this could be done? This sounds like a great way to get the message out to many of those we love and care about.

What came to mind when I was reading your post was to leave a message via voice mail on your phone....something like, "If I am not returning your calls, it's because I was taken up in the rapture..." then do a brief explanation of what the rapture is....the catching of the saints before the 7 year tribulation.
Anyway, yes I have heard of leaving a text message after we are gone, but I'm not technical minded, so I would have no idea how to do that. But I sure there are others over here who would be able to answer your question.

there's an iPhone app that does that. It checks about 10 different factors (news reports, whether you've used your phone, etc.) and then sends a text message. It'll be a few days late, but there it is. I'll see if I can find it. I don't have an iPhone, so I haven't ever used it.

I am very un-technical but I can download an app. Good to know it can be done Benjamin and I appreciate any help. I want to leave the message to loved ones local and out-of-state. Leeza: That is a good idea also but it will all be in the timing for me. My son would never call me if I put this on my phone now.

I just have sealed letters laying in various places. I printed some off and some I wrote myself. Who knows? If the Lord intends for anyone to recieve our messages one way or another, they will. I have faith in that.

Rieom, so true. I didn't think about that when I said it. That would be a weird message for people to hear if we are still here, lol!!

Thank you Benjamin for finding this for me. Shiloh: I am leaving behind left behind materials in other forms too. I have family living out-of-state who would be unable to come to my house and find the info I leave behind. That is why this phone text set up appeals to me.

The app is designed to only send out messages to people when the Rapture hits... so it shouldn't be contacting anybody without your permission otherwise. It has other functions too (like news, links to rapture sites etc.), but the actual "I'm gone!" message only goes out when a set of criteria (I think it's about 16 things, from memory) are satisfied.

That IS a funny comment about your son not calling you Rieom. I'm still laughing about that. I wouldn't have thought about that. Haha

I cannot talk about my faith or politics with him, that is his red line, only he would act on it. I think I will start off my text with "I told you so". How would you guys start your text if you were able to do so?
