This week's report looks again at the growing threat from ISIS, and the US and NATO's indifference to the conflict in Ukraine.
I don't have a lot of commentary to add on this one - it speaks for itself, largely.
In some respects I think people are overstating the threat that ISIS poses (by which I mean, it's not about to plunge into open war with the US), but on the other hand, those who dismiss ISIS entirely are missing the fact that they don't NEED to fight a symmetrical war. Asymmetrical (or guerilla) combat isn't a new thing - and certainly for terrorist groups, it's really the only tactic that has worked, traditionally - but in order to bring the US to its knees, there really isn't a lot that needs to happen. Any significant disruption to her economy, or to her power grid, could be devastating at this point.
