It has nothing to do with pastors/priests...What do you do with Jesus and his sacrifice of himself for you John?

I do not ignore the Bible like the damned heretics do. Priest is in the New Testament of the Holy Bible 71 times.

John, the only high priest is Jesus Christ, if you will only ask him into your life, I guarantee he will meet you right where you are!

John - I'd suggest that you're correct on this issue - to a point. I do not believe that Scripture ever calls for a Pastor in the sense of a single man who 'rules over' the flock - nor does it suggest a priest, or any other man, in this role. In fact, I'd suggest that this is who the Nicolaitans are in Revelation 2: a 'ruling class' of priests and pastors who created roles for themselves over the church. This link elaborates on that a little: www.biblestudy.org/basicart/why-does-god-hate-practices-of-the-nicolaitans.htmlNow, in terms of the role of pastor etc. - these are outlined in numerous places in Scripture. Ephesians 4:11-16 would be key: The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ. We must no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by people's trickery, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming. But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body's growth in building itself up in love....so it is not the role itself that is in issue, it is the fact that all too often in our churches, one man 'rules over' the rest. This is unbiblical. Now, as far as Priesthood is concerned - every verse you quoted from the NT refers to one of two things: either the remaining Jewish OT priesthood (e.g. Caiaphas), or to the Heavenly Priesthood of Christ. The office of priest, in these Last Days, is carried out by Jesus Christ Himself (Heb. 4:14). We will not see humans in the office of priest again until Christ Himself returns, wherein Christians (ALL Christians) will be "kings and priests to God" (Revelation 1:6, 5:10). This office, however, will be much the same THEN as Jesus' own ministry is NOW - interceding between an unbelieving world (during the Millennium) and a Holy God. Until such things come to pass, Jesus Christ Himself is our Great High Priest - and no other.
