As always, an excellent update from JD Farag.
One brief note before I post the video:
JD asks for prayer for 'Tim and Sara', who lost their son earlier this week. If you could take a minute to pray for that family, please do so. I realize we don't know them, but we are nonetheless one in Christ, and these two are hurting in ways that many of us can't even imagine.
...now, to the video - it's been a long (and ridiculous) week. This week, JD covers the 'Jobs for Jihadis' comments from the US administration (don't get me started), the stalemate between the US and Iran's nuclear ambition, and much more.

Thank you for posting this, Benjamin. For some reason, I became very emotional during several parts of this video, especially when he was talking about Tim and Sara, the beheading of the 21 Egyptian Christians, and Franklin Graham saying that one day ISIS will bow before the Lord Jesus Christ and confess Him as Lord. Like JD, I would like to see that myself.

...you're not alone in that. I watched this at work in my lunch break, and had to go make a coffee to compose myself!

JD was emotional today and parts of his sermon was also emotional. I am glad that he told everyone about the loss of this young boy so we can all pray. He gave another very good sermon today and well worth the read. I loved his commenting on the job will help speech. He will not be there next week and I will miss his Sunday sermon.

Totally agree with you all, this was such a fine sermon and it touched my heart..JD has such a gift, what a blessing he is. He brought up a very good thought, about how the one last Christian that accepts Christ could very well be a Muslim from the ME, it makes so much sense to me especially with all the killing and massacres by ISIS, and how droves of Muslims are turning to the Lord...I believer he could very well be right.

Excellent as always. Don't feel alone, anyone. I felt the Holy Spirit really moving within me and was reduced to tears too when I watched his sermon and in his prayer in the end.

Coffee composes you, Benjamin? I should be the last one to ask that question. I could drink a whole pot of coffee and go right back to sleep. I get sort of jealous of people that get a real rush from coffee. It's like they are on speed or something. I'm the same way with tea and that has more caffeine in it than coffee does. I'm more of a tea drinker.

...I just meant the distraction of actually making it, but... yeah, sort of. Coffee doesn't do anything for me, energy-wise. I usually have a mug before bed.

hahahahahaha. I don't think I could drink coffee before bed but I'm the last person to say something b/c I drink tea at night. Do you have any little snacks to go wit that at night? I have mini éclairs.

Ha, that is so funny! Caffeine doesn't affect me either, but I wish it did. I could sure use the energy!

I hear ya! I could use the energy also! I don't drink those caffeine filled drinks to get the energy cuz when you come down, it's not good! Treasure bug aren't you young still? Well I guess I get it, I never was one full of energy - I'm more of laid back kind of person.

Nice to see a picture of you, Treasurebug! Gr8tful's right, you do look young.
Shiloh - no, I don't really have a snack with my evening coffee. I don't tend to do much of the whole... uh... 'eating' thing.

I'll have you know that I'm 25...and a HALF! lol. At least I'm pretty sure --- sometimes Andrew and I have to ask each other wait, how old am I? somebody please tell me we aren't the only ones! He's 29. There have been too many occasions where people mistook him as my father or something else. Even more that mistake me for a teenager, so clearly it's all my fault somehow. Had this random happy-to-help fellow just waltz up to us in the grocery store, hand me his business card smiling and ask "dad" if I'm old enough to drive yet? Seriously man? You know what, I'm just going to hope it has something to do with sunblock.

Treasurebug, you know you're young still when you add that half to your age!!! Trust me, you will really appreciate the whole mistaken age thing one of these days! It will creep up on you when you start to notice no one says that anymore! How does your hubby feel about being mistaken for your father?

Lol, I hoped someone would find that funny. Think I'm having a life crisis already though. LOL Can't believe how fast the seasons and years pass by, just a blink of an eye, life really is so short, and seems to go by faster the older you get. but by the grace of God I look forward to living in a place where time is no longer against us, where we won't be little vapors that appear for a little while and then vanish away. Poor Andy though, I don't even need to tell ya, that whole situation infuriates him to no end.

So good to see you post, my little Treasurebug. I think just about everyone can relate to what you're talking about in many ways. I'm sorry, but I still laugh about you running into people who think you're hubby is your dad. I personally thing it's b/c you are about the size of a little mouse and he towers over you with being so tall compared to you. I mean, isn't he over 6 feet (?) and you're about or barely 5 feet. You look like a munchkin compared to him..hahahahahaha..that's so funny. But he loves and adores you and I know you do with him too. Don't feel bad about the "how old am I?" thing. Me and dad always say, "How long have we been married now?"

I see Benjamin gave you a nickname, Steph. He'll sneak those in there, ya know. Fair enough. It's only been there for about nine months. I get where you're coming from though, Steph - my wife's the same. She's turning 30 this year (I'm 34), and while nobody has ever asked me if I'm her dad, she often has people thinking she's much younger than she is. I'm not concerned by it. When I'm 80 and she looks 50, I'll be on to a good thing. I don't expect to be here that long though!

Well, thanks for rubbing in the age thing, Benjamin. Ohhhhhh, the cruelty of youth! You kids nowadays. I used to laugh at my mom and dad and found myself saying to them, "You parents nowadays!" when they would act like youngsters and get all giggly with each other. They got a kick out of it when I'd say that to them, though. Hey, I don't plan on any of us being around that long either. Prophecy is moving fast and furiously.

Well that's the beauty of being a child of God. We are ALL children in His eyes! I'm not old according to Him!!! So that's my story and i'm sticking to it! I have a friend who is itty bitty, like 4 ft 10ins and maybe 100 maybe less! She's in her late 60s....I call her Tink (tinkerbell) She said she went to visit her son and his wife and kids and they came to airport to pick her up. She said they get to the car and her son says, here mom, you sit here and there in backseat was a child seat! I thought that was hilarious!

gr8tful, that is so funny! That's cute how you call her Tink, too. My mom has always been a tiny tlhing too, even after having 4 girls. I am 5'1" and feel like I tower over my daughter and my mom. It's the only time I ever feel tall. That's hysterical about the car.

That's hilarious Mom, because I'm a little over 5'2 and the only time I ever feel tall is when I'm standing next to YOU! lol!!! Remember that picture of us at Steve's wedding? I look like a buffoon next to you! Andy is a foot taller than me though so I guess we are a pretty weird looking couple. Like Freak the Mighty. Anyone remember that book? hahahaha!

I have a question for you treasurebug. How did you handle your size when you were a kid? My granddaughter is very tiny and at 5-1/2, she is getting some comments that are rude. Some kid told her this week that she looks like a 2-year-old and she stepped up to him and she has a medical condition (which she does) and that is why she is small. One man who overheard this called her small but mighty and I think that will stick.
It is nice to see you posting.

You guys are not weird looking at all together! I think it's cute and don't tell me he's only a foot taller than you. I was wearing heels at the wedding and so were you. I know a lot of couples like that.

Honestly Rieom, I don't remember running into any issues about my height growing up. How old is your granddaughter? The majority of women I know are around my height and growing up, the boys are generally the late bloomers so they didn't have much to say. I admit I was quite a tomboy though, and would put any boy in his place if he ever picked on me or one of my friends, or someone else that didn't deserve it! It sounds like she can give as good as she gets though!

I was a tomboy too, that was just more fun being one. She is 5-1/2-years-old I do not know her height but my daughter took her in for a weight and height check Friday. I missed her phone call and they are on vacation, so will have to wait.
She is a good two heads shorter than her peers. It has not bothered her much until lately when she hears comments made about her size. My daughter can get her through this as she is a strong woman.
We are not going to be here for long so it is not an issue. I have always told her when you get older, your peers will be jealous because you with be petite.

My bad Rieom, I thought you were talking about her up height there. Kids can be so cruel, but God has a knack for turning bad for good, and I have no doubts that He will work through her! I think you are right about when she gets older, and kids will find anything to pick on someone for, if not just out right make things up if they can't find something. You cannot pay me to re-live school.

Well, the boys would always pick you up and twirl you around, Steph.. But I agree. God DOES have a way of paying back for those who belong to Him. I know where you're coming from.
