You may have seen this before. If so, it may be good to watch again just to remind you that Hell is a place that many will go to if we don't tell them about Christ. Granted, it is their choice to accept or reject, but we need to lay out the choice to them to be able to make a decision. Through the Spirit of the Lord.
If you haven't seen it, it is tough to watch....is it extreme? Yes. BUT it will be extreme when it really does happen!

This was chilling, Gr8tful. Especially the part where he asks his Christian friend, "Why didn't you tell me about Jesus?" That sure is a message to all of us to witness to people, isn't it?
The part at the end when he said, "Wish you were here." Was that the man in hell speaking to his Christian friend?

Good question, Leeza. For me, it reminded me of when Jesus descended into hell to testify as to He is. The Living God. Do you think that those of us who pass on really descend into hell? What about this?
Remember Abraham? There was a great gulf between those who chose not to have faith in Christ or the Living God/Messiah. I don't believe that a true Christian goes and visits hell, simply because Jesus already did that for all of us on our behalf. Does that sound like heaven to you? It doesn't to me. I would rather be hidden away with the Lord and have God wipe all my tears away.

Yes Leeza, I believe it is the friend in hell who says 'wish you were here'. Which makes it more chilling.
And Shiloh I believe that or should I say I was taught that when Christ died, descended and rose again, that is when that chasm was no longer needed. Those who were waiting for the Christ to come, were taken up at that time. As we know from Scripture:
Matthew 27:52-53 "and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many."
I always thought it was odd that that isn't a bigger deal! I mean you'd think that was a big event, as well as quite creepy! I never really understood why it's slightly mentioned in the Word and not a real teaching tool either! I mean think about what that had to be like!

I've thought about that too, gr8tful...it IS in a sense.... sort of creepy-ish. Lazarus comes to my mind too. Imagine what THAT was like. Need physical therapy much after that? Not to mention that he probably didn't smell so good after being called forth by the Lord.
