I watched this video this morning. I've been watching David Wood's videos for some time now - his apologetics and his work with Islam is exceptional, but I'd never seen this before.
Admittedly, I cried. It's absolutely worth watching. It's equal parts shocking and horrible and wonderful and weird... but it's quite the testimony.
Here it is.

That was good. My daughter sent me one by Lee Strobel, who was a devout atheist and is wife was an agnostic. It was excellent. It's probably on You tube but I'm not sure what he name of it was. (It was a documentary/personal testimony) tat we watched off of Netflix/ I'm no sure if it was called "A Case for Christ" or "A Case for Christianity". It was something like that. I'll have to ask her if she remembers the title of it and see if I can find it.

I almost shut this video off near the first third of the video, I found this man so repulsive. I know he was mentally ill, but I couldn't stand listening to him. When he did discover that Christ was real though, it was quite amazing and I am very happy for him. He has had a miraculous transformation.

I completely agree, Liz - Like I said, I've watched lots of his videos, and always been impressed - I had no idea of his horrific past. He was clearly mentally disturbed, and very, very broken.
...when he said that line about... having starved himself, but then finding "the Bread of Life"...? Yep. Bawled.

When I first started watching this, it sounded like the ramblings of a narcissistic sociopath. Like Liz, I was just shaking my head in revulsion at his cruelty, indifference, and arrogant attitude about those in this world who were suffering. This is completely foreign to me, and I couldn't relate to it or identify with him in a million years. However, at the same time, I was fascinated by his testimony, so I continued watching.
How in the world could this mentally ill man ever find Christ? It seemed like an impossibility to me. But I saw the Lord working in his heart of stone, and eventually melted it with the truth of who He is, and saw the miracle of how there is no one in this world, however depraved, that the Lord cannot reach.
This is definitely a must see video.

OK, I will finish watching it!! I quit after 20 mins! What strikes me is such a very mentally ill man, look what he did to his father! BUT he was healed of his illness! You really never hear that type of testimony of one who was so mentally ill but God came and not only cleaned him out but opened his eyes to so many things he before couldn't comprehend such as caring and loving some one! Wow!!
It was disturbing tho to listen to. But the victory is immense! Did any of you watch the interview afterward w/the guy at the end who he sat by that was reading a book? IF you turned it off after he closed his testimony it comes back on to say to the guy, "are you ready for your interview?" I guess that's why he was there, to interview this guy. I'm going to watch it in a bit.

I felt like I was listening to a psychopath and had thoughts of turning it off. There are some things I just do not want in my head but I just had to know where he was taking us. God can truly reach anyone and this man is living proof. What a testimony.
