What a lovely song. Gave me chills. What would we do without the Lord and His grace and mercy upon us? God is so good.
Thanks for posting this song.

Exactly Leeza...what would we do w/o Him?! I hope you listen to the other 2...I always appreciated his song writing. His zeal and love for the Lord shows thru them and he is sooo honest and really puts it out there. I had bought one of his albums yrs ago - at a time I was distressed over things within the church we were going to at the time and just the lack of zeal everyone had. Tho a small active church in 'church' things, there really was no desire to minister to others, no real interest in ministry type of things. I had a heart for those in need, as in, whatever the need was. Since no one else was interested somehow they would call hubby and I when someone needed a helping hand, food, a room for the night, whatever.
It was just really breaking my heart to see this. Where was their heart to serve Him? We had a hunger to do all we could...yet when i'd mention something there was NO encouragement, no offer to help, no advice, nothing. So when I got his album...actually my first Christian album, I chose his not knowing who he was or ever hearing his name or music. That album just spoke to my heart!! HIs honesty confirmed I wasn't the only one feeling the way I felt and I need to do what He asks me to do even if it meant on my own. I now have all his music- it just healed my heart and set me free from the feeling of being bound by the church to do what I knew the Lord was leading us to do.

No wonder I like you!! I really wanted a church we were going to do like a play or something with 2 of his songs. When I would hear the 2 songs 'Asleep in the Light" and "Sheep and the Goats" after that.....I would just envision it as a play type of thing...as in acting it out as the song plays. I believe if done right that would be on enactment that would be extremely effective in getting the church up and going. When I mentioned it I didn't get interest. It's a shame too, cuz I honestly believe it needs to be done.
