I was a bit turned off by the beginning of this, but I kept watching, and was so glad I did. It's quite good. Liz

That whole thing creeped me entirely out. I always wondered and thought, "They aren't looking for the God particle, which is wrong in itself but they are seeking the "god" particle. I always thought that LHC was just eerie looking and they are very secretive about it. I don't know what this can unleash. All I know is that our God is in control.

Good point Shiloh re: god particle, and not God! Very good point! So weird and yet, nothing new is under the sun! From tower of Babel on....always trying to 'outdo' God, prove He isn't, always believing they are smarter. Sad really. Yet they still can't predict eq's, stop tornados, change the tides, make dirt, so many things! How sad to think that when one passes they go back to dust or whatever, no eternal life. What is the point of life then? Why bother being good, bad, indifferent? If there is no goal, no hope, no meaning, what does any of it matter? I don't get it, I really don't. The thought of existing for some yrs., going thru life's trials, just so some day you don't exist anymore. Just dust...nothing else...that's heartbreaking, especially if you lost a child or someone dear to you. The comfort of knowing our loved ones are with the Lord makes it bearable. Difficult, but bearable. Can't imagine not have that type of comfort! Ok, don't get me started!!!!

But also, everything else you said is exactly it. I don't get that either and it's certainly the enemy at work. Who would want to be like "gods" or like our God completely escapes me. Is it pride that motivates them? Do they think they are wiser than our Creator? I just want to be in the arms of my Jesus and My heavenly Father. He terrifies me, yet He has been so loving and gentle with me.
but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming. (Psalm 37:13)
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. (Psalm 2:4)
