Edited to add: This is the Hezbollah spin on things. Who knows if it really was a kidnapping attempt or not. Liz
This article is interesting because it happened near the border with Syria, and Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the problem with the N. border. Hezbollah Sources: Jeep Attack a Kidnapping AttemptThe explosion on the Golan Heights Tuesday that injured three IDF soldiers was a failed kidnapping attempt, Hezbollah sources said. Hezbollah sources said Tuesday that an explosion on the Golan Heights that injured three IDF soldiers had been an attempt to kidnap soldiers. 4 soldiers injured in explosion near Syrian borderOne of the wounded in grave condition; army fires artillery shells at targets inside Syria in response to roadside bombing Four Israel Defense Forces soldiers were wounded on Tuesday when their patrol jeep apparently ran over a bomb near the Israel-Syria border. The army initially said three soldiers were lightly to moderately injured but later announced that there was a fourth soldier wounded and that he was in “severe” condition. The incident occurred near Majdal Shams, and the soldiers were evacuated to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. They were apparently hit after they spotted a suspicious person near the fence and approached to investigate. Light arms fire was also apparently directed at the patrol, according to Maariv. click here to read the remainder of the Times of Israel article

It wouldn't surprise me at all if it were a kidnapping attempt. They're in vogue, thanks to the Gilad Shalit case. The enemies of Israel profited greatly from his return... and know that Israel will pay handsomely for the return of their citizens now. Both Hezbollah and the Jihadist groups of Gaza have taken note of that, and threatened further kidnappings. I think we'll see this more and more often now.
