The fact that other Christians were so sure the rapture would happen in the past makes me wonder why. Were you one of those people? I want to know what were the signs that make you think the rapture was imminent. How do the signs differ now from then?
My first time thinking we were going to be raptured was last year yet in retrospect, the times we are living in now seem more intense.

I agree with you, Rieom. These days are different. I never felt we would be raptured at any certain time in the past (even though I know it could have happened) but I see the intensity of things happening now, as you said. It's as if we can see the beginning of the tribulation on the doorstep now. We see everything lining up as far as Psalm 83, Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38,39. Everything is lining up so quickly now. I've said this before, I know the Lord can kick the prophecy can down the road but things (prophecy-wise) are happening so fast that it is all hard to keep up with now. If we are still here next year, I'll honestly be surprised, whereas I wasn't in the past few years.

I've seen so many 'final end times' in my lifetime so I'll be conservative. I think things can continue to get worse, and I give it two years. If we are still sitting here in the spring of 2016, I'll be amazed.
The Muslim hatred in the M.E. is worse towards the Jews, and towards each other. Other signs are worse as well.

I think... 2011 was probably the first time I really felt that the Rapture was imminent. I'd believed in the rapture before that, but 2011 was really when it became real to me, and was a time of spiritual re-awakening for me in general.
2011 was when I first heard about the idea of a Rosh Hashanah rapture, which I still think is one of the most convincing theories in terms of Biblical 'hints' at a timed rapture... though honestly, I'm struggling to see how we could make it to RH this year. Sometimes I struggle to see how we'll make it another month, let alone another year. And yet, as so often happens, events to do with Biblical prophecy come in torrents and lulls...

I don't understand why the Lord would use a Jewish feast for the Rapture of the church. I believe the Lord will fulfill the remaining, unfulfilled feasts FOR Israel since they have everything to do with Israel and not the church. If anything (and I'm even cautious about this), I could see maybe the rapture happening on Pentecost but even still, it won't be Pentecost somewhere else in the world. Other countries are either almost 24 hours ahead or behind.

I agree. The Feasts are for Israel, and while I think the idea of Jesus fulfiling the remaining feasts is most certainly valid, I don't think He'll do so with the Church. That almost turns the Moedim into Replacement Theology, and that's patently false. The Feasts for Israel will be fulfilled with Israel.

Shiloh: The intensity of it all becomes not just an observation but turns into a feeling that is almost palpable. It is not just all the rumors of war but society itself has taken a nosedive. It is just plain ugly and getting uglier.
Elizabeth: I understand the need to be cautious. I am not letting myself get head over heels in love with a date because I have been wrong before. For me, this time is not only knowledge of what is going on around the world and as it pertains to the Bible but everyone, pastors included, feeling that this is it. Benjamin: Torrent and lulls is what I have seen in the past where I feel we were right on the edge and then back we went. The big difference for me now, at this time, is the evil that we can see around us in the horrors men take part in. It is almost palpable like a think fog coming in closer only this time, trying to get Christ out of every aspect of our lives.
I think the rapture will have it's own day, one that is not part of another holiday or feast.
