It's hard to know what to think on this one. Infowars isn't always the most reliable of sources, but they're quoting Israeli newspapers, and the rumours surrounding this issue aren't exactly anything new. Plus, there's a precedent for these kinds of things: we know that Ehud Olmert offered the Palestineans pretty much everything they'd ever asked for during his tenure (in a deal that was STILL rejected), as others had done in the past.
The problem, ultimately, is that the Palestinean leadership simply isn't interested in a two-state solution. It's that simple. The Middle East Quartet and John Kerry seem to think that this is a problem that can be solved through diplomacy and other human means, but the issue itself isn't political, it's spiritual. The same spirit that drives abortion in the US and genocide in Sudan drives the madness here in the West Bank and Gaza. The desire isn't for peace, or a state of their own, but for the complete and utter destruction of Israel. And this desire... this LUST, really, is because Satan knows that Jesus Christ's return is to Jerusalem, to Israel, to the Jews... and if the Jews are gone, Christ cannot return. It's a desperate stall, an attempt to buy more time, to foil the Father's plan... and it will never work - but neither will diplomacy. You cannot solve a spiritual problem by political means.
The problem with this story is this:
If Israel were to give control of the Temple Mount to the Vatican, I cannot see the Vatican allowing Israel to rebuild the temple. I just can't. An international coalition? MAYBE... but it still seems unlikely... but beyond that, I think that if Israel were to give sovereignty over, the judgement of God would be so swift, so violent, that whoever took ownership would suffer greatly.

Very well said Benjamin. The whole thing does not make sense but that has not stopped other moves that did not make sense. Who gives away management of holy places to a Pope who is a totally different religion?

See, that's where I'm at too. I find it hard to believe that B. Netanyahu and much of his cabinet would allow this. Who's to say that all Israeli press sources are reliable either? If they DID give it up, I believe it would be very temporarily and I agree that God's Hand would be swift. Then, my other thought was, "What if the false prophet and ac allow them to take hold of it in complete and thereby, making way for them to rebuild the 3rd, final temple?"
