For First Time in History Islamic Prayers To Be Held At The VaticanFor the first time in history, Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran will be heard at the Vatican on Sunday, in a move by Pope Francis to usher in peace between Israelis and Palestinians. Francis issued the invitation to Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas during his visit last week to Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian Authority. nation.foxnews.com/2014/06/06/first-time-history-islamic-prayers-be-held-vatican

They are Catholic so this doesn't surprise me. It's interesting that they also pick Pentecost to do this on.

The man in the highest position of the catholic church is allowing a religion that murders Christians to offer prayers to their god and read from an unholy book in a building that was built for the one and only true God, who demands that no other gods shall be brought before him, in an effort to take more land from God's own people. This is so NOT OK in so many ways.

I agree, EPD. This too strange in too many ways. Liz, I thought the same thing about Pentecost.

Well said Peaceinthestorm. It is almost like the Pope is taunting God and that is never a good thing. We have seen lightening strike the Vatican before so I cannot help wonder what will happen this time.

I'm posting this here because it fits the main purpose of this thread:
That wasn't awkward at all.
