I think you posted the wrong version of that. Surely you meant this one. This guy isn't even remotely close to my kind of thing, but... I may have cried a little. Seriously. Watch it.
[mod edit]
watched it again. Cried again. How do you spell "soft"?.

Well, I'm certainly glad I have a box of tissues by me. What a gifted voice he has! I acually have read that about the author of the song before.

I like Amazing Grace sung by just about every one. It is that kind of a song for me. Bill Gaither sang it on a different level than I have ever heard. He voice is so rich and deep and he sang the song as if he was feeling the words. I hope that makes sense. I listened to all three songs and had a mini-worship session going on. I love music and have always felt that I belong worshiping with people of color because that style moves me. I think it was all those years growing up in the RCC having to sit still during mass that breaking free from that mold is inviting.

Yeah. Growing up in a Presbyterian church isn't much better. I'm actually not kidding when I say that I've been to funerals more joyous than the worship elements of our services.

This song, THIS version, is my FAVORITE hymn of all time. "O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus", the Enfield Hymn Sessions That's my favourite hymn too. Has been for many years. I think we've had this conversation before... but my favourite version is by Selah. It's very similar in terms of the composition, but I like their voices better.

Benjamin: You have a way with words. There was no worship where I was either. More like gloom and doom. I cannot wait till we get to heaven and get to worship God with thousands of other believers. That will be one heck of a worship time.

Wow, these are all so Beautiful...but my favorite of all times is "Amazing Grace" and no matter who sings it, it always brings tears to my eyes.
But, I have to admit that my favorite version of it is by the Scotland Bagpipes...
