Here is a link to an excellent article about the tenuous financial situation right now. I thank Boulder who posted this article and link at RITA Now, where I found it.
Quote from article:
I believe bear markets are made by God. Bear markets remind men that their greed and crime must be atoned for. In bear markets investors become frightened and once again they seek the help and comfort of God. In bear markets the crime and greed of the previous bull market comes to light. Bear markets are God's way of cleansing humanity. In bear markets the dirty water streams out from under the closet. In bear markets men turn to God again for peace and help and comfort.
I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t worried about the way things are going. Frankly, I’m truly scared for myself, my family and the nation. I have the sinking feeling that the stock market is on the edge of a crash. If that happens, investor sentiment will turn quickly bearish. And the bear market will start feeding on itself. Ironically, the recent action occurred in the face of almost insane bullishness on the part of the crowd and on the part of investors.

Yeah, people are really losing it because they are saying the stock market is going to crash in March for certain. It will effect everything. What I didn't understand was when I read an article by David Wilkerson before he died. He talked about this and said when we see that Portugal goes down (economy-wise) to pull all of your money out of the bank. Here's my thinking. What good is anyones money going to do then? Will it be a barter system? Money will be worthless.

Shiloh, is there a reason for everything to happen in March, that you know of?

Elizabeth, Stock Market crashes often come in key months:
February/March
September/October
...this is because factors within the various global markets tend to lead to "corrections" at these times of year, which can trigger collapses.

Shiloh, could you please elaborate on what Wilkerson said; I'm wondering why he specified Portugal and not some other country?
