Thank you, Peace! I love that saying. We are blessed to be in the age of grace, aren't we?
Thank you, too, Lily. I guess you all know by now that I love cats, also! Such a cute cool cat with the sunglasses on, lol!!!

Speaking of cake, do you have any cake over there? I think that cat got those shades at the same place I did because I have tiny rhinestones on the sides of my frames and they're black too, but mine are just rounder and not pointed like those.

No cake yet. My caregiver (which is my good friend's daughter), text me this morning to wish me happy birthday, then asked me if I liked strawberry. So sweet. I wonder what she is up to. She usually is the one to bake a cake for me for my birthday. But they all know I like chocolate. So when she asked me if I liked strawberries, I was honest and told her, " kind of." ( hint hint, I like chocolate better, lol!) But no matter. What matters is the thoughtfulness. I really appreciate her very much. She is a sweetheart.

Thanks, Morningstar! Yes, I am hoping that this will be the last birthday for all of us, too. Wouldn't that be great? Still waiting for the cake, lol! (I could just hear Shelayne...... "WHAT? NO CAKE?")

Strawberry is great with chocolate drizzled on top! Oh, I didn't think about that! I wonder if that was what she had in mind?

Oh yeah! I've made huge dark chocolate covered strawberries before. Those ARE good! Morningstar, I see you're filling in for Benjamin with his "may it be your last"...hahahhaha Hey, what about these, since you love purple? Sorry I ate that first very large hunk out of that cake above....

Yeah, I noticed that morningstar's response was kind of Benjamin-like. Proves that we miss him. Oh, I LOVED those purple cakes! Almost too pretty to eat. (Notice I said "almost".)

Happy Belated Leeza. Did you get your cake? I think, as friends, we should all have a cake at our homes and celebrate that way with the Birthday Girl.

Aw, thank you, Rieom! No, I didn't get my cake. I don't know what happened. Maybe I will get it today. My friend's daughter (who is also my caregiver) is coming today to bring me some dinner. She even offered to pitch in $10.00 of her own money to get me a nice dinner. That really touched my heart, because she could ill afford it. What a blessing that girl is.
Anyway, her mom text me earlier, and told me that she couldn't make it today, but will celebrate my birthday with me tomorrow, and said she was going to get me some PJ's for a birthday present. Praise God, I really need them!! That was so nice.

Your friend's daughter is showing the real spirit of giving. What an example she sets. Are they Christians?

Yes, both my friend and her daughter are Christians. Her daughter is my caregiver. She came over today and bought me dinner (beef ribs, baked potato, potato leek soup, and garlic cheese bread), and she bought a 7 layer chocolate mouse cake with whipped cream on top from a bakery. She and her boyfriend came in and sang "Happy Birthday" to me, and they joined me for a slice of cake while I ate my yummy dinner. She wouldn't even take the money that I always give her for taking care of me as a part of my birthday present! My friend and her daughter are such a blessing to me. I grew up with my friend. My mom and I moved next door to her and her family when I was 12. So her daughter is like a niece to me.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...Oh, Leeza. That sounds good! Especially the..... Now, you can relax while having some "mouse cake" and watch your "court shoes" and later read up in the bible about "Norah".

Mouse Cake, that must be a Californian concoction Leeza! Shiloh, you always manage to find just the right pictures.

Liz, that sounds like it should be a song. "Californian Concoction". hahahaha

Hahahahahaha!! Oh no! Another typo! Man, I better stop posting....I'm beginning to sound like an idiot! Obviously I meant 'mousse cake", but since I spelled "mouse" correctly, the spell check didn't pick up on it. (Yeah, right, blame the spell check.) Good one, Liz!! Kind of a spin-off from "California Dreaming." Yeah, Shiloh, I don't know where you find those pictures, but they are hilarious!

Leeza, you KNOW we love you! You have the funniest typos and I just love having fun with them. I just always get visuals in my head. I think it was either Rieom or Peace that said, we're not laughing at you, we're laughing with you. That's so true. Morningstar laughs at mine all the time too. I accidentally typed an expletive in one time instead of the word I wanted because I skipped a letter.

What a great B-day dinner Leeza and the cake sounds so good. Christians and family, a good combination.

Yes, Rieom, I am very blessed. My lifelong friend and her daughter are like family to me. I never had any brothers or sisters, and she is the closest person I have in my life as a sister. LOL, Shiloh! Yes, I know you guys are teasing me and that really cracks me up. But all those typos are starting to get embarrassing, hahahahahaha! Benjamin is going to have a field day when he gets back. You know how he zeros in on errors like Colombo. Shelayne, my good buddy! Thank you for your birthday wishes. Love the chocolate cakes! Totally my favorite. Aw.....poor little girl. Take that dunce cap off and join me for some cake! I have purple cakes, too, thanks to Shiloh. And some "mouse" cake, of course. (Hey, are you talking about the poor panda that was held hostage by our illustrious leader?) LOL!

Oh! Shel, those chocolate cake pictures you posted look sooooooooooooooooo good!!!! Did I miss something about our "leader" holding a Panda hostage? He held a koala hostage too! It's animal cruelty, if ya want the truth.

Oh, I am laughing so hard right now! When Shelayne mentioned something about a panda, I thought she was talking about the koala that our leader was holding hostage. I forgot that he was holding a koala and not a panda. So, no worries....no animals abuse. Just me getting the animals mixed up.

Oy vey. See, when you do not pay any attention to the occupant out east, you don't know anything about koala hostages. Is that a good thing or not?
Leeza, "The Panda" was that pick abomination that made my insides want to come outside on my birthday. I do believe I shared the description of that concoction of death on my birthday thread. It was just a reminder to say, "No, thank you, I would rather have a root canal" when cheerfully offered said liquid.
