Obama has issued a warning to Russia about military action against the Ukraine. All reports point to Russian military active in the Ukraine.
Rumors swirling that Russia is sending more warships towards America.
Is this it? Are we witnessing the beginning?

Maybe Obama will get slightly grumpy again, like he did over the Syrian 'red line'. That was the worst fifteen minutes of my life.

The phrase "his bark is worse than his bite" comes to mind and actually his bark is pretty weak at that.

Honestly it isn't Obama that I'm thinking about. Putin does not seem to be worried about the EU or America. I remember listening to Chuck Missler on Russia. He went into detail about Russia's preemptive policy on nukes....if they feel threatened enough they launch first, no questions asked.
Putin seems like a man not to be trifled with.

Meanwhile, as Obama is downsizing our military...... I saw that on the news last night. The people uprising seem to welcome Russian force according to the news channels but the aricle below says something quite different. I'm thinking along the lines of Psalm 83 here. I read some prophecy teachers' thoughts on the Psalm 83 battle. Bill Salus, in particular had the clearest and most well laid out explanation. There is a thinking that factions of Russia (like the Ukraine and others) will somehow coerced to go against Israel in Ezekiel 38-39 battle. Here's an article that was posted today online: Crimea's leader cements power, asks Moscow's help
KIEV , Ukraine (AP) — The pro-Russian prime minister of Ukraine's Crimea region claimed control of the military and police there Saturday and appealed to Russia's President Vladimir Putin for help in keeping peace, sharpening the discord between the two Slavic neighbor countries. Ukraine's acting president questioned legitimacy of the Crimean leader, saying his election by the regional parliament on Thursday, when the building was occupied by pro-Russia gunmen, violated the country's constitution. It was the latest escalation following the ouster of Ukraine's pro-Russian president last week by a protest movement aimed at turning Ukraine toward the European Union and away from Russia. Armed men described as Russian troops took control of key airports and a communications center in Crimea on Friday. Ukraine has accused Russia of a "military invasion and occupation" — a claim that brought an alarming new dimension to the crisis, and raised fears that Moscow is moving to intervene on the strategic peninsula where Russia's Black Sea fleet is based. continue at: news.yahoo.com/crimeas-leader-cements-power-asks-moscows-help-134054929.html Fair Use for Information and Education Purposes

Hi Jon ... you said:
I guess my question would be, who would he feel threatened by? Certainly not the U.S.
EDIT:
I'm sorry, Jon, after rereading your post, I see that you already mentioned that Putin doesn't seem concerned about the US or EU. So, are you suggesting that he may use nukes on the Ukraine?

I don't know that he'll be nuking anyone - but the fact that the policy is there to begin with is indicative of the mindset. Putin is everything that Obama isn't... and it already looks like he's calling Obama's bluff. Honestly, I can only see this panning out the same way Syria did. Obama will be forced to "condemn in the strongest terms" what is happening, but won't take any real action. After all, in the past two years, we've seen:
- Iran breach the 'Red Line' laid down by Obama. In response, numerous sanctions have been lifted, and Obama has threatened Republicans not to bring bills for further sanctions, stating that he'd veto them;
- Syria breached its 'Red Line' by using chemical weapons (on several occasions). Obama did nothing, stated repeatedly he would not put troops on the ground, and effectively did nothing other than throw in a few mild verbal barbs over the issue; and
- Russia has now breached a Red Line of sorts of its own. Obama's meek and mild speech, vaguely referring to "consequences", will have no effect here either. In a later interview, Obama suggested just how far-reaching these consequences might be. He and the EU might withhold their representatives at an upcoming G8 conference. *gasp!* THE HORROR!

Yeah! "*gasp* THE HORROR" is right! As if Obama is a big threat. They're showing all this on the evening news again right now and people are saying they're welcoming Russia.

Face it Obama really doesn't have what it takes to be a real Leader.... He's to busy bringing America down --and this cartoon says it all. Fair Use for Discussion & Educational Purposes.

Below is the headline on CNN right now: www.cnn.com/The Ukraine accuses Russia od declaring war I completely understand the comments about Obama being weak and not being a threat. The problem is, he is now in a bit of a sticky situation. We have a treaty with Ukraine, if they are attacked we are responsible for helping them by treaty. If we don't come to their aid, it means all treaties we have signed are worthless. If we do come to their aid we are fighting Russia. This is not the same as Syria. We were under no treaty to help them. So if we don't do anything, we tell the world that our treaties are not worth anything and possibly embolden Russia as well as China to do whatever they want. If we do something, we are in a skirmish with Russia which could lead to big problems. It goes deeper than Obama just being a weak president, in other words.

All I can say is "Here's another nice mess he's got us into"...treaties don't mean that much to him, he pretty much has shown that he can do or say what he wants without any repercussions, just take a look at his past foreign diplomatic failures this won't be any different he'll slide his way through this one too. What President in the history of the US has EVER gotten away with what this man has done? It seems to me that he is being Satanically protected and for a purpose.

It's seemed like that since the beginning to me - his quick rise to power when he came out of nowhere to be president, the way no one can/will touch him or criticize him, the way everything seems to work out for him no matter what he does...it certainly appears to me that someone or something is behind him.

Huge Disclaimer Here. This video is from Russia Today, and I found it interesting. This has their perspective of the Ukraine situation, and the world response. Boy are they good at spin.

to be honest with you guys, i am not surprised at all about russia as for some reason i had the dream last year and few years ago, that will going to happen in usa and canada too. so we needed to be prepare whatever that will come. it will impact everyone. as we have to trust in God as he knows more than we do and we dont know the future holds for us but we have hope in Jesus Christ. we have to help one other to hold on to Jesus Christ and help people to find Jesus Christ. Do not be afraid what the future holds as God holds our future and we just depend on Him and trust Him. as I am much looking forward for His return.

I agree, funkymom12. I'd be a basketcase if I didn't trust in the Lord.....and probably be doing basket weaving in some facility, too. Nana, I couldn't agree more with your statement. My exact same sentiments.

Well I am under the impression that majority of the American news networks are no better, in fact they are worse.
Also, dare I say that Putin is seems to be more Christian than Obama?
