This never ceases to amaze me....They start firing rockets at Israel...and then threaten Israel if they retaliate...now Abbas is Blaming Israel for this escalation..go figure!!!
And now they Want Israel to sit quietly and do nothing?

Islamic Jihad threatens to fire long-range rockets at Israel if the IDF strikes in Gaza

The Islamic Jihad terrorist group is threatening to up the ante and fire long-range rockets at Israel if the IDF strikes in Gaza.

"We intend to expand the range of the rockets if Israel retaliates tonight," the organization’s spokesman said on Wednesday evening, according to Channel 2 News. “We will fire beyond the four-five kilometer range we have fired so far."

The group threatened that a response will come after every Israeli violation of the ceasefire agreement, but at the same time stressed, “We have not ended the ceasefire of the last few months. If Israel sits quietly, we will not fire.”

Israeli planes hit Gaza in response to rocket strikes

Israeli warplanes have attacked 29 Palestinian targets in the Gaza Strip in response to an Islamic Jihad rocket barrage into Israel earlier on Wednesday, the military has said.

Palestinian eyewitnesses and journalists said that warplanes hit bases of the Hamas rulers and the armed wing of Islamic Jihad.

Israel is also reported to have closed border crossings with the Gaza Strip.

Militants fired more than 30 rockets into southern Israel, officials say.

An Israeli military spokesman said five hit populated urban civilian areas.

He said that a number of others were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defence system.

Have you ever noticed that it's pointless and futile to attempt to shame shameless people? Why bother? The best advice is a bit like the saying: "Never teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig." Depending on the world's righteous indignation to attempt pressure on people who have no desire whatsoever to be righteous -- including for example how shameful launching rockets at people not attacking you, i.e., something that ought to appear to reasonable people as an unrighteous act -- is a colossal waste of time and breath.

They can spin anything that happens in the Middle East. They are always the helpless victims but take no responsibility for their actions. I do not see either side stepping down unless a peace treaty is brokered.
