Welcome, Mia Here's hoping you don't get devoured alive by that pack of bloodthirsty, ravenous (and apparently disembodied) dogs!

Shiloh, "MIA" in all caps sounds like an acronym for "missing in action." Lol
Welcome again, Mia! I hope you won't be "MIA" around here.

Benjamin, only YOU would look at them as disembodied dogs...hahahahaha...they're just interested, kind, loving and they're welcoming someone. You guys never know...this person COULD have been missing in action. Could have crossed over from another site. Who knows? LS, that video is so fitting. That's hilarious.

Thank you, Shiloh, Benjamin, Brother John, Elizabeth, Rieom, Morningstar, LS and Leeza; for the warm welcome to rapturefourm, I do feel very welcome here and I look forward to reading all of your posts.
Yes, Brother John and Rieom, I get that all the time from friends, a text with
M.I.A. and seeing the time when Shiloh posted this, I was MIA, my apologies.
My parents obviously didn't take into consideration the consequences when naming me, the most popular name I got was, Mia the Chia Pet. It is funny now, not so much back then.
Shiloh, I know of what you speak, teehhee; but I never took the plunge, just lurked now and then.
That was a funny video LS, thank you.
Elizabeth, posting photos, I will have to have one of my friends come over and dumb it down for me.

Mia is a lovely name, though. I've seen it used a shorter form of "Maria," or "Mary," as well, although in those cases I don't get it, it's not like they are long or complicated names to begin with. Lol, go figure. But it's still nice, in my opinion.

Ohhhhhhh..so it really IS Mia. I thought it might be some kind of code talk...lol...Now I have that Chia Pet song going through my head, Mia. I actually broke down and bought one of those. I had the one that was a sheep and every morning as I would thank the Lord for another day and often, beautiful, sunny days, I'd stare at my Chia pet on the window sill above the kitchen sink an go, "baaaaaaaaahhhhh...baaaaaaaaahhhh." How fitting it is that the Lord referred to us as sheep. I researched that one time and actually, sheep are pretty dumb and I was thinking, "YEP! That's definitely me!"

My parents loved the movie "The Great Gatsby" with Ms. Farrow - hence the name. I'm just happy that Charo wasn't cast as the lead character in the film.
Brother John, I too have a friend with the same name, shortened from Maria, she couldn't say her name when she was younger and it stuck. Funny.
Shiloh, I have had most of them, gifts of course. Thankfully never any of the head ones, just animals.

LOL! Yeah, those head ones just aren't cool. Especially Chia Obama. YIKES! Who in the world would want those head ones?! I actually have the Great Gatsby on a cd. The one with Mia Farrow. I only liked it when I as younger because it had Robert Redford in it and I had a crush on him when I was younger. But what was Gatsby's claim to fame? The new one with Leonardo Decaprio didn't shed much light either. I fell asleep on it. I think that's so cute about your friend's name being shortened because she couldn't pronounce her name.

Elizabeth, posting photos, I will have to have one of my friends come over and dumb it down for me. Posting photos is pretty simple here. To post something other than plain text, you have to put it in brackets, like this: [oink] Obviously "oink" doesn't do anything, but if you wanted to place an image, you'd use "img" in there. Then you put the link you want, then you close the code by saying "/img" (again, in brackets). So (and I'll use squiggly brackets instead of square ones, just so that it shows up): {img}http://users.on.net/Awen/Jabba.jpg{/img} ...will give you (with the right brackets): You can also use other codes, like: {quote} {video} to paste a youtube video {link} to post a link. ...remembering that whichever code you use, you have to use the same one to close it. So {link}http://pasteaurl.com{/link}

LOL! Love that picture! I do it a little different. First, find your picture. Put your mouse on the picture Right click and go down to 'Properties' and a little box will pop up. Copy the http code where it says address and click okay on the bottom. Go to the site and click on 'insert images' at the top of where you are posting. Paste your http code in both bars and then click on 'insert image' below the bars.

...actually, you don't need to left click and get properties - you can right-click, and get "copy image location" in firefox, or just "copy" in Internet Explorer. Either of these will give you the image's url. You can then paste that URL either inside tags, like I mentioned above, or you can click on this image: in the "reply" box. When that pops up, you only need to fill in the "image url", not the alternate text (which is only designed to show up if the image doesn't load properly).

Yeah. I just edited my post and corrected it. I accidentally wrote left click instead of right click.

Aloha Mia I'm new here. But I can say that the forum's are generally interested in what is happening in Israel which is a sign for deep biblical students. It is no surprise that the folks here are very Christlike in their communication with each other.

Thanks Benjamin and Shiloh, hopefully this works. Intojoy, thank you. Yes, Israel is God's timepiece and I check out Israel's papers everyday on-line; fascinating. Welcome to you as well.
