That is WAYYYYYYY too cute! I was anxious because I was worried that poor little baby was going to get hit! I have an elephant one to post too. I think I'll have to do the same thing you did NCIC. My daughter sent me this one tonight because she knows how I love elephants. Mother elephant lays down to encourage her newborn that can't stand yet

Awwww Shiloh that is so sweet! I wonder also if she is trying to protect the little one from the water? It looks like water behind her?
Have you seen the video withe the elephant and the dog?

Is that the one (I think there's 2) about Bella? Oh, if that's the one, I couldn't handle that. I saw the second part where the doggie died and she picked him up with her trunk and actually took him away from the place where he was killed. He got attacked by a coyote or something, That was so sad. You can see how deeply they feel for one another. I often think we should learn lessons from animals, Then, you see horrible things on the news about people killing eachother over stupid things and abusing children, the handicapped, elderly and animals. It is no mystery to me why some people prefer animals as companions over people sometimes. Animals give you that unconditional love and with the severely handicapped, who were born that way, I often think they are closer to God than many of us. Did you know that elephants actually cry and shed tears? I love the babies. They're so sweet and funny because they don't know how to control their trunks yet.

I agree, elephants are wonderful animals. Morningstar, here's a video of an elephant painting an elephant.
Edited to change videos.

Shiloh, yes, I was referring to the one about Bella. It was so sweet to see the friendship they shared. Animals are a true gift from God that too many of us often take for granted. Elizabeth, I have never seen that or even heard of that in my life, I never knew an elephant could be capable of drawing, how cool is that! Here is another funny one, it's not an elephant but it is cute, it would be a funny "Caption this." i.imgur.com/HDHYpmE.gif

Liz, thanks for posting that video. I've seen that but loved seeing it again. That is so sweet! NCIC, I saw both of those videos where they were so close and it was so touching. I actually cried at both of the first and second videos. I know that sounds real stupid, but I watched them alone at night..in my soft, comfy pajamas, propped up with my pillows and my quilt on me and my laptop......lol...I sound like some kind of basket case, don't I?

Animals are a true gift from God that too many of us often take for granted. I agree. My life would not have been the same without my cats, and probably all pets in general. I think animals are able to soften one's heart when you start caring for one, and you learn to value all life.
Shiloh, no, you don't sound like a basket case.

Oh Shiloh no you don't sound like a basket case at all, or...if you are I am one too! I am a huge cry baby when it comes to animal stories, I cried too watching those videos too.
brotherjohn, I know what you mean. I lost my dog in 2012 and still miss him very much. I haven't gotten another one yet but if I do, I will go to a shelter most likely...that's if were still here by the time I'm able to do that of course!

You summed that up well, BroJohn. I think that's true and it develops comapssion for not only animals, but for people too. Babies, the physically and mentally challenged, the elderly and animals are all my 'soft spots'. I think it's because they are all defenseless and they need protection. That's our duty. I get you all the way, NCIC. I was just telling my son and his lovely soon to be wife to go to an animal shelter because they really want a dog. I really miss our dog even though he's been gone for some years. If I were to get another one, I would definitely go to an animal shelter. I know our pets are waiting for us on the other side. I can't handle those ASPCA commercials. I literally have to leave the room because I start crying.

I should have elaborated... You learn to value all life except mosquitoes, spiders, centipedes and horse-flies. Lol, I'm kidding. I try to remind myself that they are creatures as well with the same right to live. I just really don't like it when they're near me and sometimes I end up taking action.
Yes, if you're ever looking for a new pet, go to an animal shelter or check with any neighbours, whose pets may have given birth recently. This is usually always where we got our pets. Except one of our current dogs, which if I recall correctly some people in a car pulled over on our street a few years ago and abandoned him. There have also been cases here in which people whose pets give birth stick the puppies/kittens in a bag or box and put them in trash containers, leaving them to die. This world is horrifying.
Shiloh, does that mean your son is getting married soon? If so, congrats!

Here's another baby elephant enjoying a mud bath. I've only watched the first half of this, but it's pretty cute. Sorry, I could not get this video to load.

I was sitting here yelling Go, Go, Go to the baby elephant. I enjoy all these pictures of pets but my all time favorite is a penquin picture Shiloh posted on another board. It was so funny.

I posted a .gif for the first time here earlier too, and it's actually easier than I thought. When you are making a post with the advanced reply feature as opposed to just a quick reply, there's this toolbar with a bunch of things to edit your post above it, and you just click on the square with the little photo/picture miniature inside it and copy and paste the link of the image you want to share in it.
The link needs to end with ".gif" or ".jpg" or something, like so: stream1.gifsoup.com/view6/4622332/penguin-slap-o.gif
Also make sure that the link doesn't have "http://" twice at the beginning after you copy and paste the link into the box.
Oh, and be careful not to link any images that are hosted on a website that doesn't specialise in picture sharing, otherwise it may cause copyright issues and Benjamin would have to remove the image.

Let me see if I can get this cute elephant video to post that Elizabeth tried posting.

Fixed:
You had an embedding link to the video, that's why it wasn't posting correctly.
Oh, wow, April 4 is really soon then! That's awesome, though, and lol at you being called for arrangements.

OH! Thanks BroJohn! I didn't realize that was the problem. That video is so cute. That's a cute one with the dogs too, Liz. I love those domino things too. For some reason, I find them fascinating.

I can't help it. These have always been three of my favorites.
The funny part about this next one is that this guy was on a Good Morning America and he said he didn't even realize that song was playing in the background because he was busy taping the dogs, and it even made HIM laugh after he saw his own video. He didn't think it would go viral like it did.
