Well, personally, this is not my cup of tea. If I saw him on the street, I would probably walk over to the other side, cause he sounds like a hip rapper street evangelist and his kind of preaching would get on my nerves. I guess that I am more of a conservative, Charles Stanley kind of person. I can't relate to this kind of preaching at all. However, to be fair, I do think he has a powerful message, and I do believe that he has the ability to reach a lot of people, so good for him!! God gives us different gifts and talents, and I think it's great that He is using this man in such a powerful way.

Not fond of rapping but it did show that God can be worshipped with almost any type of music. This man can reach many with this style of music.

Thank you so much for sharing this, Benjamin.
I truly think that time is short, and I am desperately trying to plant seeds for some family members so they will accept Christ before it is too late. I need to find things that they will actually listen to, and this may be it. I'm sharing this.
Thank you. And thanks to all the members here for teaching me and for posting news articles that show that we are in the season, and that the rapture really is near. We live in interesting times.

First off, Lily, did I welcome you? I'm so sorry if I didn't. Secondly, I'm not a rap person either and I'm more conservative like Leeza. On that note, I believe every style can reach many. God works in mysterious ways and maybe my form of music as praise or worship music isn't there style either. God will reach and awaken those who will listen.

Thank you for the welcome, Shiloh! The post above was my first post here. Yes, people do listen to different styles of music and of worship. I think that's why I'm trying to find something that will get my family members' attention and so they won't just pass it by with a roll of the eyes. I'm praying that if a seed is planted for them, then they will listen and ask Jesus into their lives. I realize that time is short, and I hope using this video will help them start thinking about the gospel. Thank you again for the welcome. This forum is a welcoming place. I've lurked for a while here, and I'm learning a lot.

Benjamin, I thought this was quite good. This doesn't have a fast rap beat, you can easily make out the words, and it's intelligently written, I think. Welcome Lily, it's nice to have you posting with us. I hope you'll like Rapture Forum.

Looks like a presentation of the gospel that one might find performed in a suburban mega-church (Like the one I used to attend In fact, I would've enjoyed listening to Shelley Fabres do that rap Welcome, Lily

Typical Benjamin Response...LOL!!! What ever it takes to bring the Young to know Jesus as Savior is alright with me. We have to reach them at whatever level (within reason) we can communicate the Gospel in, the Lord will find a way,...Amen . Welcome Lily to our valley of Rapture Ready Christians, had to throw in the valley --because I love Lily of the Valley flowers -which meaning is " Return of Happiness" Glad to have you with us. ....

I'm okay with Leeza's response, too, though - it's funny, isn't it, how diverse God's people are. I loved this video - admittedly it's not really my style either, but I really enjoyed the wordplay, and the message came through with great clarity. I guess it's like Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:

Thanks, Benjamin. Your initial response to me cracked me up. I thought, "He's giving me the raspberries, love it!" I really appreciate it when people are real in their responses, so I thought that I would try the same. Actually, I am never this blunt. Never. I always try to be PC in my responses, always try to be tactful as to not offend anyone. But this time I thought to myself, "Hmmmmm...I wonder how people here would take it if I were just to be myself in what I REALLY thought of the video." So I thought I would just be blunt as an experiment. Well, I got my answer. No vote of "likes" for what I said, lol!

I think I have an answer for you, Leeza. Once Benjamin broke wind on your post (pffffffffffffffffffffffffft), no one wanted to go back near it Seriously, I appreciate your honesty, but if I'd given it a "like", others might've thought that I didn't care for that rap either; which I didn't, actually, but understand the audience for which it was intended. Like I mentioned earlier, it was reminiscent of the ones I used to see at Willow Creek on occasion. My suggestion? Have a "Like" button, an "Agree!" button and a "Nice Post" button

Good one! I think Benjamin would really appreciate that "after the skunk sprays, everyone runs" kind of humor, lol!!
Thanks Jim for saying that you appreciated my honesty. But if you noticed that in the 2nd paragraph, after stating that the man's method of preaching wasn't my cup of tea, I did say that he had a powerful message and good for him that the Lord uses him to reach a lot of people. So I did try to be fair in my assessment.
Yeah, I like the idea of "Like", "Agree" and "Nice post" buttons. There are some posts I don't totally agree with, but they are nice posts, regardless.

Sometimes I just hit the like button as a source of acknowledgment. But I find myself agreeing with many on this site. I can see everyone's view. I like the different aspects and their take on things. Sometimes, it's something I haven't thought of or looked at that way before.

...I have to admit, I often forget that the like button exists... ...but I DO like that people feel like they can be themselves here. That's important. This place doesn't exist so that we can all pretend to be someone else.
