Rabbis Issue United Call to Establish Synagogue on Temple Mount A wide ranging group of rabbis from the National Religious camp have written a letter to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu advocating the construction of a synagogue on the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site. Among the rabbis are those considered religiously “conservative” and who have avoided making public calls for prayers on the Temple Mount until now – including Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu – as well as those considered more “liberal,” including Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, Rabbi She'ar Yashuv-Cohen, Rabbi Menachem Borstein, and Rabbi Daniel Shilo. Interesting, but I don't see a synagogue being built on the Temple Mount before the Third Temple being built on Mount. But, this is all heading that way.

Yes. But this shows they are eager to have something built on the Temple Mount, be it the Third Temple or not. I think they won't need to build any synagogue there, if the suggestion for an actual Temple is made somehow instead, I'm sure they'll take it.

This is going to inflame the Palestinians for sure. They will, no doubt, be offended and if possible, more angry than normally.
