The Vatican has be salivating to get their hands on the Temple Mount for years...They have a lot in common with the Muslims don't they?
Arutz Sheva Op-Ed: The Pope's Anti-Semitic Plan for Jerusalem
On his trip to the Middle East, the Pope is going to make obvious his support for the PA and antagonism for Israel.
Pope Francis’ visit in the “holy land” will be a kind of final solution for the Jewish sovereignity over Jerusalem.
After visiting Amman, the Pope will be received by “the President of the State of Palestine” (words taken from the Vatican official note).
Then the Pope will be received in the “Phoenix Center of the Dhaisheh refugee camp”. He will endorse the “inalienabile right” of millions of descendants of Palestinian Arab refugees to repossess the homes and villages that their grandparents and great-grandparents had lost in 1948, an act which would dismember the modern state of Israel.
The Vatican always presented the 1948 war as the source of an “injustice” committed by Israel when it "pushed away" the Palestinian Arabs.
Pope Francis will talk with the people in charge of the Ibdaa camp, whose main goal today is to educate Palestinian Arabs about the 1948 Nakba (catastrophe).
Does the Pope know that Dehaisheh has also been a notable breeding ground of suicide bombers? Will the Pope see the graffiti and poster glorifying the Arab terrorists who dismembered Jewish babies and mothers?

He will endorse the “inalienabile right”
Lol, sorry. I couldn't resist.
This is an opinion article, right? Well, we don't know for sure that's what the man will do. He could just go there, visit places, "promote" peace and leave.

That was really funny BJ I liked the inference of "alien" good catch. Well, it's more than just an opinion it's also based on fact, it's not a secret that for years the Vatican has been trying to get a foothold in Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. As far as this Popes Itinerary and who he'll be meeting with I found this part very interesting from the "Vatican Insider News" this was in light of the "Israels Foreign Ministry Stike". I just don't see Israel ever letting the Vatican have control over the Temple Mount. They have no real authority there, and I'm pretty sure Israel already debunked some rumours floating around a couple of months ago saying that Israel was planning on giving control of the Temple Mount over to the Vatican.
Although...
"(...) Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. 2 But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been given to the Gentiles. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months." - Revelation 11:1-2 (NKJV)
Could the "been given" in these two verses be referring to something like that? I mean if, for some reason, Israel was to lose control over the Temple Mount, with the Jews still having gotten permission to build the Temple.

As I understand it, Jordan (rather than Israel) controls the Temple Mount now. Jews are often not allowed there at all and they have to undergo screenings when they can enter. Also, they're not allowed to pray while on the Mount.

Your absolutely correct nana....although Israel does have some say so in the matter. The way I understand it is that Israel has sovereignty over the Temple mount (1967 war), but the control of the Temple Mount was given to Jordon (Wagf). Israel's Government is in a precarious position in that they have to walk a fine line with the religious Jews and the Muslims in order not to start an intifada. Here is a good article on this... Israel Sovereignty on Temple Mount

The decision of the Israelis to give sovereignty of the Temple Mount to the Jordanians (in 1948) is just one more evidence for the hand of God. It's utterly inexplicable in any terms, other than the fact that God was not ready for Israel to build the third temple.

That's what I was thinking too, Benjamin. Does this have anything to do with the verse, "until the times of the gentiles is fulfilled." ? I would think it does.
