Wasn't there also a picture taken after that "pope" had died, of a fire which was supposedly shaping his silhouette?
You can click here to see it.
It's all so weird. What say you? I suppose the enemy could use these things to add to the belief that the RCC is the church that is "right" or "infallible". I don't see what else the enemy would gain from these things, though.

I agree BJ, people seem to forget that there is a Spiritual realm in which Satan can work his deceit. We can't just easily blow these things off as imaginary (which a lot of them are). I do believe the supernatural plays a big part in deceptions, and people play right into Satans hands when they attribute these things to God, because they think they come from God. Why did Paul warn us that Satan can appear as an "Angel of Light" 2 Cor.11:14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. It's the same with Marion Apparitions, UFO'S e.t.c....the messages they bring are all contrary to the Bible which is proof in itself that none of these are from God. I believe some of these are true, but I also know the source from which they come from. The closer we get to the Tribulation, these miracles, apparitions and supernatural phenomena will increase. It is so creepy to me to see people falling for the lie.

I agree. That verse you shared is so true to these things. People always think of the devil's work as easily perceivable through visibly evil things. But they forget that he can twist things to appear as an "innocent" thing, and deceive people, like with apparitions and the like, only it's lies and evil nevertheless, it just may not appear that way to the 'untrained' eye.

John, that's really creepy. I never saw that picture before. Isn't that sort of like seeing Jesus on a Tortilla chip? I have to agree with that though. I believe Satan can deceive poeple into thinking the RCC is the only true way. Look at all the weeping statues of Mary we see.

I agree, Shiloh. The reason that I think God allows these things is because people don't care for the Truth. They care for signs and things like that. Then it's what we see and it's what the world gets. It's why we ourselves should continue to value the Word and the simple and humble things of the faith, and trust in God, as opposed to looking for signs as in spectacles and miracles.
Something to consider regarding these things: "9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." - 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (NKJV)
While Paul was referring more to the 7-year tribulation period (at least from what I gather from him speaking of "the lawless one") I still think that it shows us just how far the enemy is willing to go to deceive the world, even now, and as we draw closer. All that God asks from us in return for His grace and mercy, is for us to believe in Him, to have faith in the One He sent. To trust Him with our lives.
"while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. (...)" - 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NKJV)
Losing sight of this to seek or be taken by signs and wonders will just allow the enemy to come in and walk all over us with his lies.

Yes. I completely agree, John. There are times I try to imagine what "signs, 'miracles' and wonders" the AC will perform. We haven't seen anything. I agree wholeheartedly that people refuse to believe the truth and that God allows them to be deceived. We are to walk by faith, not by sight.
John 20:26-29

I think it's "Lucifer", but I'm not sure it even belongs to the Vatican. I think that it's some other equipment that is located in the same place as the Vatican's telescope, on Mt. Graham, but that it doesn't belong to the Vatican. It belongs to someone else who for some reason named it that. According to a page by a quick Google search. Lol, I thought it was theirs too, but apparently not.
