Bible Prophecy Tracker Opinion: Leonid Kravchuk is not reading the same book we are. While WWIII and the Bible are compatible, we have time to prepare and warn those we care about.
Summary timeline - what to watch for:
1. Before a peace treaty with Israel and many (Daniel 9:27) happens, an all-out Arab assault on Israel is likely. In Psalm 83:1-8 the prophet details a 7 nation Arab alliance that has never before attacked Israel.
2. Either preceding, or during, that war Damascus is destroyed in one night (Isaiah 17:1;14).
3. Israel wins the war big-time (Obadiah 1:18).
4. The rapture of the Church, removal of the Holy Spirit, from the earth (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
5. Peace treaty/Rise of Antichrist (Daniel 7:8, Revelation 13:1-8).
6. Russia will have reunited the old Soviet Union nations, have a strong alliance with Turkey and membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Putin’s alliance with Iran will lead to the great war of Ezekiel 38-39.
7. Antichrist sets up world government/economic system/religion.

Well, if the Lord decides it's time. We'll just have to wait and see what major event happens next. Then I think we will have a bigger clue..

It is amazing how many people are talking war. Today it seems all over the place with various countries. We have Russia and the US. China and Japan and Israel and all her enemies surrounding her. There is a lot to watch. Many sites feel something life changing is coming, which I hope is the rapture but it could be an attack on the US by Russia. I meant to copy down that timeline from Bible Prophecy Tracker and keep forgetting to do so, so glad you posted it here.

The "five weeks until war" idea comes from another article, not the one linked here.
That article argued that, because NATO has war games occurring in eastern Europe in five weeks, Russia would need to act before then if it plans to take Ukraine.
That's a valid point, but there's a broader, shadow war going on here too, in currency terms. The US' weak response (via sanctions) to the Crimean Occupation wasn't so much the result of a lack of will, but out of the knowledge that, should Russia strike back with economic warfare, the US is done.
Russia and China currently hold all the cards as far as the global economy are concerned, and the two are allies. The US is now the one on the outside looking in, and her partners in the EU and Britain, have enough financial problems of their own.
The collapse here could come on either of these fronts - either economic or military. Time will tell. The hope for many is that this stalemate will perpetuate itself out past this five week 'barrier' of sorts... and it wouldn't surprise me if it did.
It wouldn't surprise me if it came to conflict either, however, and if it does... well, hang on to your hats.

I agree. Yet, I've always been unclear as to whether WWlll is part of the tribulation or before the tribulation. Any insight on that? I keep thinking of "wars and rumours of wars".

Given how many nations have nuclear weapons, I'd find it hard to imagine a world war scenario outside of the Tribulation.
The consequences would be too devastating to be part of this era.

Very good points Benjamin. Sometimes it is what is not going on in front of the media that we need to watch carefully. All it will take is one nation to start and others will follow out of fear. Glad to have the timeline, it is obvious I do not remember where I saw it.

I totally agree Benjamin, I still think that WW3 will be during the Tribulation (2nd Seal-Red Horse)...and this just may be leading up to it. if this Ukraine/Russia comes to an all out confrontation it won't be a minor skirmish but will involve many nations...Could this be a part of "Wars & Rumors of War"?...just don't know.

This is actually one of the best Trib scenarios I've read. I don't know if it'll happen "in 5 weeks", but it seems likely to happen at some point the way the world is going. The Tribulation is called the Tribulation because I believe it will be the first world-wide nuclear war. Even the Lord says if the days weren't shortened there should be no flesh saved. That tells me that He deliberately shortens the length of the days (to technically still have seven years, yet be shortened), otherwise we'd extinct ourselves. The Bible says it will be the worst time in human history EVER, and the elements "melt with fervent heat". Therefore, I believe once some country "breaks the hearts" by dropping the first nuke somewhere, it will be open season.
The death toll of the Four Horsemen alone means a world war at the very least. Even so, that's within the Tribulation.

I thought this article was excellent. I'd love to read the article you referenced Benjamin.
Whatever happens, it's very interesting with this military exercise coming up in the Ukraine. I don't quite understand why if the attack doesn't happen before the military exercise, the Russians will probably use a cold war strategy.
Also, Russia and China may have the power to bring down the U.S., Britain, and the E.U. economically, but the ramifications of doing so, would certainly hurt them economically as well. Would they do that to themselves?
