Which goes to show, that anything can happen overnight...even the Isaiah 17 prophecy.
CBN News; Israel's Air Force Chief Warns of 'Sudden' War
JERUSALEM, Israel -- Israel could be in for a surprise war, Israel's air force chief Maj.-Gen. Amir Eshel warned.
Eshel's comments come as tensions are increasing along the Israeli-Syrian border.
Eshel says the threat of a sudden war erupting on multiple fronts is much more relevant today.
Syria has invested in the "best air defenses it could buy," Israel's air force chief said on Wednesday. That could embolden Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to do things he might not have done in the past.
And if the regime collapses tomorrow, those weapons could be dispersed and pointed at Israel, he said, which means a surprise war could take many forms.
Eshel is just one of the latest Israeli military leaders warning of the possibility of a sudden or multi-front war.

Good to note that this is from May of last year, though. But I do think that the only way things will slow down even nowadays is if God decides to institute a temporary peace, to provide a "lull" time until it's actually time. Maybe this peace deal with the Palestinians will actually go through and there will be temporary peace for a few years. We can't know for sure... We'll just have to wait and see.

Good catch the date BJ. I never check the date for some reason. I do think this applies to today as much as it did a year ago. If Fatah and Hamas joins together, it will be much more dangerous for Israel. Israel said that if this happens, as planned, then there is no use continuing peace talks.

I agree, Rieom. Now there has been formed sort of a "diplomatic relationship triangle" between these players, apparently.
Hamas -> Palestinians <- Israel
With Israel telling the Palestinians to choose between peace with Israel, or unity with Hamas... Suena como una telenovela, no?

Rieom, for some reason, I never check the dates as far as articles go either, but I can see this all culminating very quickly. Even well respected, sound prophecy teachers say that the Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17 battles can happen very swiftly...as in a matter of days. I picture us waking up and hearing that Damascus has been wiped out or that Psalm 83 is already happening. Hamas is part of Psalm 83.

Definitely the line up for Psalm 83 is lining up. I dream of being woken up by the Shofar because the Rapture has begun.

What get's me is that I got this article as Current News on a daily news website..they didn't check the date either I guess.
Now that Abbas and Hamas have signed a unity deal, Abbas's effort to pressure U.S. and Israel to given in to his demands, shows me how this is definitely lining up for the Psalm 83 scenario. We know those peace talks were NEVER going to get anywhere....what a waste of time and hot air.

It's ok, Morningstar. You're right, it was a bunch of hot air... during Winter.
