How Many Will be Saved?by Dave Miller, Ph.D. In our present “politically correct” societal climate, the “I’m Okay, You’re Okay” sentiment that surfaced in the 1960s has since blanketed American culture. Consequently, even Christian peoples have been infected with the ideology that the only moral evil is the sin of “intolerance,” and that everyone ought to subscribe to complete “acceptance” of everyone else—regardless of belief or behavior. Of course, those who are so influenced have ceased studying the Bible and acquainting themselves with Deity. For those who still are convinced that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, they would do well to subject themselves to the corrective provided by that Word. Doing so would alter their present tendency to embrace society’s pluralistic propensities. Full Article Here

Good article, Jim. This also brings to mind John 6:29.

Very good article Jim Quote: It seems throughout Scripture that there is always only a remnant that are saved...and he is correct in his observation...it all boils down to choice..when we stand before our Creator, there will be no excuse. Even then they will try to plead their case before the Almighty God. Mat 7:22 “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' But by then it will be too late.

God promised there would always be a remnant. I think many don't understand that Jesus is our advocate...our attorney. He paid the price for us in full. The debt we owe was paid by Him on the Cross through His precious blood. We belong to Him. When He said, "It is finished.", it was finished. There is nothing we can do to add to what He already did for us.

What struck me upon reading this piece was the fact that the majority of the people I've encountered in my life, and those I have yet to encounter, will someday be sentenced to weeping and gnashing of teeth for eternity; quite a sobering reality ... which makes me that much more grateful for God's saving grace!

We cannot live our Christian lives by counting on men who are infallible to teach us and believe what they say. I believe the first step of a Christian should be to read the Bible cover to cover. Where ever they go to church they need to bring the teaching given to their Bibles and see if what was said is true or not.

Great article and very, very sobering.
I am so thankful that God brought me to Himself, that He removed the scales from my eyes and softened my heart to hear His Gospel. I don't know why He did, but I am eternally grateful! Thank you, thank you my precious, precious LORD!
