Israel just tweeted out this neat video presenting various locations in Israel, from sunrise to sunrise:

That was beautiful BJ, I always wonder how it looked 2000 yrs ago when Jesus walked through the Holyland. One day we'll all be there with our King.

Me too, Morningstar. I was just thinking that while watching the video and trying to imagine what it looked like when Jesus walked there. Those scenes are so pretty. They have some of the most beautiful sunsets too. Thanks for posting this, John.

Agreed, everyone. I was looking at the scenery in the video and I was thinking "Just imagine. So much history!"

Thanks, Johannes Vermeer's 'Girl With a Peal Earring' is one of my favorite paintings, and when I saw this avatar, I couldn't resist it.

I have always wondered what Israel looked like in ancient times and would love to see it someday.

Thank you, morningstar! I've noticed you have a new avatar as well. I think it is really pretty - the cross and angel wings are a wonderful combination.

Those ARE both pretty avatars...now I feel like a heathen monkey..with a kitten as my pet. Here's a pretty one of the Old City/Tower of David: Old City/ Tower of David as night sets: Jerusalem at night: Jerusalem/Festival of Lights: Garden of Gethsemane photos:

Those are beautiful photos, Shiloh! Have you been there? I like your monkey and kitten avatar! I am too nervous to get close to a monkey, but I do appreciate them from afar. They are very cute.

No. I've never been there but that is the one place I would love to go. I'm cracking up at your monkey comment. That's how I am with a lot of animals. I admire them from afar.

'Heathen Monkey' would be a great user Title. Better than 'Resident Cat Lady'.

'Heathen Monkey' ...?
Ouch! :-)
Shiloh, you admire animals from Afar? I've been trying to find that place. Is it near India or somewhere in Africa? Sounds sort of middle eastern.
