Thank you for the welcome, Brother John! I've been lurking for awhile, and I decided this forum has excellent information and friendly members. I'm very happy to be here.

Well, Lily, you (and the rest of us) can thank the Lord for places like this one where we can "gather" daily, especially since finding good local churches is not an easy task nowadays. I don't know what I would do if I wasn't able to commune and watch with any of my brothers and sisters in Christ.

I don't know anyone who is waiting and watching for the rapture where I live, so this forum has already been important to me. I've been reading here since the forum opened. Now that I've joined the community, I'll be able to talk to members here and become a sister in Christ to all of you.

Welcome to you Lily. It is nice to have a place to go with others who believe in the rapture. Although, with O giving away administration of the internet, we may lose this site and other prophecy watching sites. Let's hope we have this till the rapture.

Now that I've joined the community, I'll be able to talk to members here and become a sister in Christ to all of you. ...that's a familiar story. Many of us here are in the same boat. I'm lucky enough that my parents are also waiting and watching - but outside of them, I don't have a single friend or acquaintance (outside the internet) that feels like I do. Usually any conversations that lean that way are met with a roll of the eyes or dull disinterest. Either that or "yes, I believe in the rapture, but I don't want Jesus to come yet", which I can relate to about as much as I can relate to life on Mars. Aaaaanyway! Welcome, Lily - lovely to have you with us

Lily, I welcomed you on another thread you posted on but John was using his brain, whereas I wasn't and he started a thread for you. WELCOME!

Thank you for the welcome, rieom! I know what you mean about possibly losing prophecy watching sites. I worry that could happen, and like you, I hope we keep them until we are raptured. I would really miss this forum if it were taken away. Thanks for welcoming me, Benjamin! Thanks for starting this forum! I've been learning a lot from the members here, and now I have a place to connect with others who are excited about the rapture. That means more to me than you can know. Yes, Shiloh, you did welcome me on another thread - thanks for welcoming me again! I love the picture of the rose, thank you! I love flowers, but sadly, I don't have the green thumb that my Grandmother did. I actually killed a cactus once because I didn't water it enough. True story. That's why I enjoy photos of flowers so much. I don't have to worry about taking care of them.

Welcome again Lily...It's really great to be able to share our love of the Lord's Return with those that are watching with you, I think it encourages us all with the blessed hope that soon we will be caught up to be with the Lord forever. I think were all ready to go......

I actually killed a cactus once because I didn't water it enough. Lol, that made me laugh.
Shiloh, lol, I happened to be using my brain. But you started a thread for Mia a couple of days ago, and I didn't think of that either at the time. I just thought it would be nice to welcome Lily the same way, and made this one.

Thanks for the welcome again, morningstar! How nice! And yes, I am so ready to go! Life is good, and I say that often, but I am ready to be with Jesus. It will be so much better with Him. Brother John, plants shake with terror when I win them in drawings (which is a common prize in this area). They know that if I don't give them away, their days are numbered. I usually give them away so they can have a long life.

Lily, you don't know how glad I am you said that.... " I actually killed a cactus once because I didn't water it enough." I thought I was the only one that ever did that...I do NOT have a green thumb...and I live in AZ...plenty of Cactus..even if I did water them..they would die anyway, maybe it's the way I look at them that make they shrivel up and die...LOL...

How funny, morningstar! I thought I was the only one who could under water a cactus! I do envy those with green thumbs. I used to try to raise a vegetable garden, but you can guess how successful that was. Now I just try to keep the weeds at bay. Oh yes, those grow. And every once in a while I find a rouge green onion in the yard far away from the old garden area. I had to admit defeat. Lucky for me, they sell vegetables at the farmers' markets and grocery stores.

That's okay, lily and Morningstar. I somehow have a talent for killing fake flowers. The silk kind..lol....I'm a master at it! I tried doing all this organic stuff with growing my own flowers last year. Thank goodness I planted a whole bunch of different kinds in cups because half of them died off and I like to put them in flower pots.....but I'll never do that again. I'm just buying them like I've always done..if we're still here.

That made me laugh, Shiloh! It's nice to know I'm not the only one who doesn't have green thumbs. I'm making all kinds of connections here. And here's hoping that you won't be buying flowers.

Thank you for the welcome, lavoietheway! Yes, I do believe I am in good company here! The members here are amazing, I'm very glad I decided to register. And happy that everyone has accepted someone who under waters cactus as their own. Thank you for the welcome, Mia! Everyone here is so nice! I think we'll both be very happy here.

So no one here has a green thumb at all?
I like flowers, and kind of like plants in general, although gardening and growing vegetables is sort of my mom's thing... for now at least. But she did give me an orchid just last year because I really like those, and I took care of it (even though it barely ever needed any caring for) most of the time and it actually survived quite a few months, until this Winter, and then it pretty much wilted for some reason. Probably not enough sunlight. I think I still have a picture of it on my phone, actually.

Orchids are beautiful! How nice that you kept it alive for so long. I don't have any idea of how to care for orchids. I guess they need more water than a cactus, though.

Well, according to what my mom told me at the time, they don't need much water either. I watered it like once a week or something during all those months. I just tried to upload the picture from my phone but it didn't work and just confused me. I guess I'm a little rusty on technology. Lol

I am throwing my hat in with the "cannot keep plants alive" crowd. I have tried often and either I overwater and drown them or I go light on the watering and they die from thirst. I did try keeping a cactus once thinking surely I could keep this alive, but nope, I could not do a cactus either.
Benjamin: That is so cool that your parents are watchers too. How nice for the three of you. I have a sister who is a watcher.

Brother John, no worries on the photo - my phone takes pictures, but they are stuck in there. I took the phone to the store in town so they could help me, and they asked me how attached I was to the photos. They couldn't get them out, either. Rieom - Yay, someone else who under waters cactus! I'm so glad to meet you all! I just knew I couldn't be the only one.

John, that's horrible that you can't post that picture. I love orchids. That is so funny about the cactus plants you guys. I knew a girl who had one her mom left her and she's had that thing for years. If I would have known I would need that information for someone later, I would have asked her how you water them. This thing was huge and in a gigantic pot. It got such beautiful flowers on it too. I got these last year and accidentally killed them off but Imma try again...if we're still here...lol Mine were a soft, light peach color though but had the dark edges around the petals. Tuberous Begonias:

That's a lovely photo, Shiloh! I know that cactus plants produce flowers, but I've never seen one in person. Thanks for the welcome, Shelayne! What a beautiful picture of lilies! Thank you.

Hi Lily! I'd like to welcome you too! I'm here most days, but I don't pop up much! Sounds like you're the only one in your area watching and waiting. One of the many faithful, lone watchmen. A.W.Tozer says quite a bit about those who are longing for heaven: "...the true Christian is one who is kind of sick of this world. When God works a miracle within the human breast, heaven becomes the Christians home immediately, and he is drawn to it as the bird is drawn in the springtime to fly north." "When I find someone who is settled down too snugly into this world and its system, I am forced to doubt whether he has ever truly been born again!" Be encouraged Lily! And keep looking up!

Lily, I'm happy to hear that you're feeling comfortable here ... that's the way it should be, right? I guess we should thank Annemc for raising her son right. Congratulations Anne (Elizabeth?) on raising a son who began serving The Lord at such a young age; that says a lot about you and your husband. But I have just one question: Where did his sarcasm come from? Btw, I loved that Tozer quote!
